If he existed prior to the universe, or has always existed, then what is to say that this present universe isnt God in a new form? Or that he might have existed in other forms throughout forever and will transition again and again?

  1. "The Hindu Concept of "Creation"

The discoverers of these laws are called Rishis, and we honor them as perfected beings. I am glad to tell this audience that some of the very greatest of them were women. Here it may be said that these laws as laws may be without end, but they must have had a beginning. The Vedas teach us that creation is without beginning or end. Science is said to have proved that the sum total of cosmic energy is always the same. Then, if there was a time when nothing existed, where was all this manifested energy? Some say it was in a potential form in God. In that case God is sometimes potential and sometimes kinetic, which would make Him mutable. Everything mutable is a compound, and everything compound must undergo that change which is called destruction. So God would die, which is absurd. Therefore there never was a time when there was no creation.

If I may be allowed to use a simile, creation and creator are two lines, without beginning and without end, running parallel to each other. God is the ever active providence, by whose power systems after systems are being evolved out of chaos, made to run for a time and again destroyed. This is what the Brahmin boy repeats every day: "The sun and the moon, the Lord created like the suns and moons of previous cycles." (1)And this agrees with modern science." Swami Vivekananda.

  2. Your concept is linear. What existed before the universe? You would not get an answer. Did God create something from nothing????

The correct concept is cyclical or circular. There is no beginning and no end. Difficult to digest but that is the fact. God, Soul and the rest (inanimate objects) all three existed from time immemorial. All three are independent and interdependent. (very much like as a driver of a vehicle you are independent but interdependent). With time, there is change in position and distrubution. So gases existed, big bang and then universe, solar system. A few eons later disintegration.

Hence evolution and involution are two sides of same coin or up an down of a circle. They keep happenning.

  3. If it feels good in your mind to accept non exsitince or a probility of existence of a GOD (he) as U mentioned, then the transition is from GOD to a new form is possible. The new form would be MAN..

  4. God is five pounds of flax

  5. No one can say that he/she/it isn't, because we know nothing about that supreme power. But, of course there will be people that claim they do.

  6. If the universe is 12.5 billion years old then surely god is but a child around the age of 12, and we (solar system) are but one atom in his body

  7. Yes, for example, in 2000, he came back as George WTF Bush, now in 2007, he's come back as John McCain and so on and so forth
