  1. Singular in monotheistic religions.

In polytheistic religions you would have to say "gods"  for plural form.

  2. God may be a collective.

    Cheers.

  3. Saying that God is singular is putting a limit on a limitless thing, so how bout it's both.

  4. Depends on the religion.

    And the person.

God doesn't exist to some people and they won't even capitalize his name.

  5. He's still single. He and that virgin never got married.

  6. He's both singular and plural.

He's one God; so don't get me wrong there.

But he's also the Trinity: the Father, Son

and Holy Spirit. He's everyone's God.

    All of these are singular.

God as in Gods becomes plural, because so many things can be placed into that category.

Satan, money (the love of), idols, celebrities, food, s*x, drugs,

alcohol, etc., etc., etc.; are all classic examples of personal gods

which rule people's lives. The gods of Mythology. It all depends upon

    your personal beliefs.

    Peace/Joy

  7. God is singular

because there is only one GOD.

  8. yupp. singular.

  9. God=singular Gods=plural

  10. That depends on if you believe in one particular religion, or the holy trinity.

Either way.. there is nothing out there.  Doesnt matter what you call something that doesnt exist.

    but others think plural.

  16. God is singular

  17. Depends on your religion

  18. god = singular

gods= plural because its more then one

  19. Since it is capitalized I assume you are referring to an Abrahamic God. And if you are I can explain.

There were two Hebrew names for God, one came from the south Elohim, and one from the north Yahweh. When the books of Moses were compiled, they combined both names: Yahweh Elohim, which translates literally as "Yahweh the Gods". But, who knows, those ancient Israelites could only show God with what attributes they knew about, and omniscience wasn't one, just to have an example. They might have believe there had to be more than one to have certain attributes, and they also could have been wrong about this.

  20. Both. Singular because He is God. Plural because of the Holy Trinity, "The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit". Hope that clears it up for you.
