Question:

Is Gordon Brown right to give £2M to Georgia ? ?

Brown loves to give away our money to all and sundry who have never put a penny in the pot, Georgia to name the latest. I am not saying that these countries do not need the cash, they probably do. However, we are likely to go into recession and that should be at the forefront of his mind right now. Could this money be better spent ?

  1. browns a r****d, just give our money to georgia great idea, s***w the nhs, people 5000 miles away need it more than britons

  2. he current credit crunch where the whole of great britain is looking at losing h**l loads of money YES why not, and then we can live like them and maybe Bush can throw us a couple of million $ to save our asses.. and then wecan give it to south africa, and say thankyou for the battenburg. and they will be like h**l no we aint no charity cases.. so they well give it to egypt cause the egyptians all need money, in the mean time england are on their arses again. So bush forks out another 2million $ but gordon see's a new house in the county.. so he buys it.. and woopedy doo. we're in a big credit crunch and gordon brown has a nice house.. and the egyptians.. well they can now afford to rebuild the pyramids in solid golld.. knock the buggers down we want GOOOLLLD *****.

  3. 2 Million is nothing to another country in donations, but  to us it would have been beneficial. As someone mentioned it could have been spent on the NHS or other places were that sort of money would make a difference

  4. the worst pm to this day . . giving away money which could be used to tackle problems within OUR country, lets get one thing straight . . lets sort out our problems in the place we live rather than dealing with other peoples!

    he's lost the plot

  5. Why has he never put the UK first! You can't help others, unless your own house is built on strong foundations!

  6. Remember those dopey kids in the playground at school who would give other kids stuff ' if you will be my friend ' ? Well, Gordon Brown is one of those. The interesting thing is he is giving away money he doesn't have. The government is going to have to borrow phenomenal amounts of money this year and they are behaving quite recklessly. If they do not take care Britain is going to end up in terrible financial trouble. I can still remember the 1970's when a Labour government had to go cap in hand to borrow from the IMF, so dire were the state of Britain's finances. My, that makes me an old git. doesn't it ?

  7. Gordon Brown is right but it should be much, much more. The UK has strong business ties to Georgia, owning the oil pipeline that passes through their territory. Georgia needs international aid to rebuild after the OTT reaction from Russia. We should do everything we can short of sending troops to the country. That too would be an OTT response. We should help the Georgians rebuild, help them to develop and generally do everything possible to make them our friends.

On the separate issue of Gordon Brown, I can't wait for him and this ghastly Labour Party to be out of office but that doesn't mean that he does everything wrongly.

  8. He should put the money towards helping people whom his government have denied treatment in the so-called National Health Service.

  9. What a complete lunatic. We should have help with the energy situation amongst other things, before helping outsiders.

How the h**l can we get him out?

  10. he should let them die give the money to his country

    : ) Coobycoo

  11. h**l he could give it to me.

  12. he is a complete prat stand down !!!

  13. £2m??  what's Georgia gonna do with that?? Buy a few ice creams?

pointless. But as for our concernes.. not really the best way to spend money, but it's a drop outta the ocean

  14. Yes - and Gordon Brown is a complete idiot - and this just goes to prove it - country in a state and he gives more money away - cretin

  15. Don’t forget please – Europe, which robbed ‘third countries’ during centuries, and built its safety and welfare on that very robbed money, has responsibility to this countries.

Georgian civilian peaceful people are under bombs, they are left without home, food, and they are wounded, raped...

After earthquake in Armenia Georgia helped them to restore all communications, buildings, helped with money, medicine care and so on... We are not a rich country, but we think it is not about abundance, but about condolence and humanity.

You maybe hate Gordon Brown, but it is not about PM, it is about honor of the nation. don’t be blind because of this hate.

Georgia don’t needs any money from country, most of population of which is greedy for help and wants this money to buy more beer or Ice cream

  16. Look at the big picture, get up the Russians nose, score brownie points with the Anericans

  17. Of course not! How did they deserve it? By starting a conflict that was (and still is) threatening to grow into something really unpleasant?

  18. The money could be spent on our own country, maybe helping some of the homeless in our big cities, Gordon Brown is the muppet of all muppets he has no idea at all what the people of this country want, they say 'the bigger you are the harder you fall' that prat is going to fall so far he will never get up again.
