  1. I am with you all the way!  I want America to have an elderly confused old man with a bad temper leading the country, with an inexperienced twit who doesn't even believe in science to back him up.  It ought to work out great!  Just the kind of people you'd want as your bosses at work, or running your bank.  Right.  Sure.

  2. according to obama anyone who doesn't vote for him is.....

  3. Yes, you have describer her perfectly. She really hasn't been exposed to the reality of the way many people in this country live. She is there because of her limitations & is not for most people. I don't think the will win though. The polls have really went up & the blogs are saying women do not like her. They compare McCain's decision to something Britney or Paris would do. There are more people qualified in this country with no political experience than she is & some of the things she has no are rule breakers....she has a bachelor's degree come on people how many people are more educatied than that? There are some pictures taken of her that teachers would be fire for if they posed like that...she is under investigation for mis-using her power...she's not even in office yet....I pick Biden as VP....any women who chooses to bring a child with downs syndrome into this world then takes a position that should require most of her time is irresponsible to others struggles We need people who are not so self-centered..

  4. I don't understand your question.  You ask a question about Palin yet revert to Obama.  It sounds like more of a rant to me.  What do guns and religion have to do with Obama?  Per his speech at the DNC, I don't see where he opposed either.  Can you quote me anything from his speech where he was against the 2nd Amendment?  I'd listen to it again, it certainly sounds like he was for keeping it.  And being Christian, I don't see where he would oppose any town that clings to their "religion."

  5. I don't know, and I don't really care.  What I do care about though is that  -

    - She is Pro-Life with no exceptions for unborn babies but it is OK to kill via the death penalty once babies are adults.

    - She wants to remove environmental barriers to let oil enter into ANWAR.

    - She is Pro-War

    - She is Anti-g*y

    - She was elected Alaska 's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.

    - She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000.

    - She believes creationism should be taught in public schools.

    - She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.

    - She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years.

    - She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.

  6. Huh? Ummmm...it would help if you could write clearly, but since I'm not sure what you meant after your question, I'll just answer the question, which I did find quite interesting.

As far as I've been able to find out, Palin attends a non-denominational church in the small town where she resides. I have yet to find any references to her personal religious beliefs, except her anti-abortion stance, so I have no idea whether she is a very religious person at all. Do you?

And I happen to not only agree with Obama, but can point to why educated people might also agree: When you try to discuss or debate with "some" people (those who "cling" to certain tenets and habits), instead of having a well-reasoned, well-informed debate, they just spout unsupportable beliefs and preferences. In doing so, they illustrate their ignorance and it is that ignorance which leaves them bewildered in this complex world. And guess what you do when you feel bewildered? You run to your God.

Ever hear of the saying that religion is the "opiate of the masses"? You wanna know how long that saying has been around?

Kinda proves that Obama isn't the first person to think that people cling to such things as religion when they find themselves over their heads and threatened in a complex world.

Don't deal with it. Don't educate yourself about it. Go to church. Or, better still: GO HUNTING!

  7. She has her oil

  8. She's not so small town...her hubby is an Oil Exec. Tired of those in the Oil Business running the U.S. Govt. They can't relate to us.

  9. Palin is another Proud American - the sort of people leftists like Obama despise.

And she has a record of cleaning out corrupt politicians in Alaska - the sort of thing that has anti-American Leftist Democrats pissing their pants.

  10. Yeah, it's real tough governing the sprawling international focal point that is Alaska. She'll fit in fine in Washington.

  11. No, she's not, but she'll be made out to appear that way.  Heck, I'd rather have Palin as my neighbor who I know is armed and accurate than to have Obama who would send out text messages to other neighbors and have them come help me in a time of danger.

  12. Probably. That's another reason why I dislike Obama.

  13.

We know Gov. Sarah Palin has some baggage that makes her a pretty risky choice for McCain: she's embroiled in an abuse of power investigation, was for the infamous "bridge to nowhere" before she lied about being against it, is pretty cozy with corrupt Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens, doesn't exactly know what the vice president's job actually is, etc., etc.

  14. Alaska is such an awesome state.  It's America the way America was meant to be.

  15. The small town line was good, and that is exactly why she is on the ticket plus the fact your picture turns on McCain. It is like snowball in h***s chance male with her elected qualifications would have been chosen.

  16. If you had listened to Obama's speech on Thursday, you would have known that his position on guns is much more nuanced than you suggest.  Nothing wrong with being religious, as long you don't close your eyes to science either.  If everyone did that, we would still think the earth was flat.
