Is Graffiti ala' LA's gang related "art" really art or just plain o vandalism?

Most of what you will find is just ugly tagging.  I would not be surprised, however, to find some of the taggers can also create some wonderful artwork . . . however, likely not as a gang member, but as an artist, away from affiliation with violence, lawlessness, and disrespect for property.

no graffiti is not vandalism its art its something that helps relive stress or whatever you are feeling no matter what it says!!

i think that most of it is art even though they are vandalising property but some of it is so beautiful and colorful!
