Not as hard as spelling, if you mean Graphic Design!

It will depend on several factors:

1.  The school and its standards

2.  The instructor and expectations

3.  Your reason for being there

If graphic design is necessary for your goals, then I suggest you not take the easy way, but instead use your time in school to meet challenges and set higher goals for yourself.  So, if the class is easy and boring, ask if you can do extra credit or higher level work.  Not only will you benefit, but the instructor might be impressed enough to recommend you for internships, jobs or placement in advanced courses.

Yes, otherwise anyone could do it. But if you follow the guidelines in the course and have an intuitive mind, you can learn to do it well. I have never seen anything that is easy as having much monetary value, and there is a big demand for the talented.
