  1. Great wolf lodge is a very fun and exciting place. if you have a chance to go there for free, take advantage of it! most people there are families with kids, but do you care if people think its wierd?! you'll be having a great time with you husband and friends!!

  2. I would never go there without kids.  It is the cheesiest, most made-up "attraction" in the US, aside from its counterpart in Grapevine.

Both of these hotels are struggling tremendously from a financial standpoint, which is why you have a free night there.  The Gaylord, the original hotel there, is contemplating bankruptcy...with no attraction within a few miles of it, no sports teams, etc, it is a dead duck begging for convention business and giving away everything they can just to bring in patrons.

Most of their problem is that they are marketing locally...why would anyone want to go 20 miles from home and stay in a hotel just because it has a waterpark?  There are more than 20 local waterparks that do not demand an overnight stay.  Give your room to someone who has kids.  The "waterpark" there is geared for those from 4-9 years old.  You will be miserable without kids and without the tolerance that comes from having kids.

And the "rustic" decor they have there belongs in a ski lodge in 1985 (ala Bass Pro Shops).  Outdated even though it is new.
