Is Greece good for a gap year?Where would you recommend?

I am starting my second year of college in England before studying to become a journalist at university. I am thinking of taking a gap year and thought greece might be a wise choice.

I love going to Greece on holiday and I really like the culture and history especially that of the Islands

I speak a minimal amount of greek but I am currrently learning.

As a journalist, you will want to see different aspects of things. Greece is a great place to do that, esp if you live a year there. I'll be blunt, if you have money, you will have an unforgettable experience. If you don't...

But keep away from the tourist areas, that's not Greece. And if you have Greek heritage... well it will be all the  more amazing.
