I imagine the park will be heaving. As will the riverside pubs. If you want peace and solitude, don't go there. However, if you don't mind the crowds, I'm sure you could find a nice tree to sit under and eat your cucumber sandwiches. Plenty to interest the kids too! Enjoy the sunshine.
