  1. Happy means joy from happenstance, or the circumstance you are in.  Content means that you are satisfied, joy or elation is not part of the definition of Content.

    Consider this sentence:

I am HAPPY to be your spouse.

    Now change the word...

I am CONTENT being your spouse.

    Not the same.

  2. happy doesn't really mean the same thing as content.

content means that u just feel like you have enough to get by comfortably. (example: you can be content with a middle-class salary/pay, enough to pay the bills, get food, but you can be happy with 7 more cats, 2 more wives, a big mansion, and lots of $$$$)

happy can be below that (you can be happy w/ just being alive, no money, no food, no clothing), or above (you're happy with the pile of money you have in the secret room, the fancy clothes, diamond jewelery).

basically, being content means that you have the basics, the necessities to get on in life. happy means that u just love life the way it is no matter what.

  3. it would be......

big back is content WITH being the father he never had.
