It is spread through body fluids.  It would have to get into an open sore or cut.  Study's show that it cant be transmitted with kissing, but if you have a ulcer or sore in your mouth, i'd be careful. And you can get it from s*x with a girl, it can enter through the slit in you p***s. Just be sure to wear a condom if you're not sure if she has it.
