Is HSM replacing Rent?

I heard that High School Musical on Stage is "replacing" Rent on Broadway. I know that they would have shut down Rent anyways because they weren't making enough money, but is it true that HSM is going to be in the same building?

As Ms. Von Trapp answered a few days ago, it has nothing at all to do with anything but $$$.

  Rent ticket sales have slacked off, it will tour, go to DVD, etc, and the MOUSE found that venue that will soon be open.

  While HSM will never be a classic, that hardly matters either. It truly is about a pending vacancy and the Dollars.

I doubt it, but if it's true, that'll be the day I stop liking Broadway and musicals all together.

I might even take a trip out there to yell at the theatre "What the fxck were you thinking!?"

I'd rather they leave it empty than putting trash in there.
