Is Hamster Wet tail contagious to humans?

Question

I know it's contagious to other hamsters, but is wet tail contagious to human?

And, is there any other sickness that is contagious that hamsters can catch?

I want to get a hamster, but petco (like 15 mins away) is the closest and I heard they sometimes have sick hamsters. Petsmart is 30 mins away but I also heard they sometimes have sick hamsters, too. I know of a pet adoption place that"s not too far but i don"t know which to get from

I've bought 2 sick hamsters from Petco before, they happened to have Wet Tail. But also some healthy ones, depends on the store really.

No, you can't catch it from them.

Adoption would be the best but then again they only live for a few years on average.

Otherwise if you get one from a pet store, they usually go for under $5, sometimes $10 for certain kinds such as the Black Bears, which I like more.

Easy, fun pets overall.

I have a hamster from Petsmart and she's been doing just fine.
