  9. While Hand Ball- (A team game played indoors involving 2-teams7X7, team that score the most goals wins) Is not known or played much in USA and other English speaking nations the game is played in France, Germany,  Spain,  as well as Brazil and South Korea not as big, all of which are part of Yahoo Answers International. In fact Handball ranks very well as far as international team sports in terms of international popularity it's why Yahoo must have this as a section under sports.

Sport is played in the winter with pro leagues overseas in Europe. Also have World Handball-Team Championships every 4 years, and the Summer Olympics since 1972/1976 for Women. This sport is mostly followed in  Continental Europe and you will find pro leagues  in the Scandinavian nations, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Spain and France as well as Northern Africa.  Many other nations have handball federations these are really the best teams.

When people ask ?'s on Handball it's usually always the 3 same - What is it? Is this a Sport? Who plays handball? Also it gets confused with the handball involving a ball and wall and 2 players with a glove on their hand.

  10. i was a little surprised to see it here but i guess a lot of people started asking questions about it...plus it could take a lot of skill to master

  11. only question in handball?

  12. no us in the wrstling section are about to move here to keep from wrestling haters

  13. No. The sport is dead and right now, there are two questions on it. That's probalby a record. This forum should die a long, horrible and painful death.

  14. No handball should not have its own section but Yahoo Answers should have a lacrosse section!

  15. It's a popular sport only outside of the U.S., so it might be enough popular as long as people from different countries go on Yahoo! Answers.

  16. Not really

  17. no

  18. d**n skippy... Bowling needs its own category! Its the most participated sport in the united states!

  19. not so much now especially in the East.  Racquetball has taken its place ever since the early 70's but out in Arizona, N M and places like that its still popular.  Unless you dad or uncle played it no young kids want to start...  They (the young ones around here) say the ball hurts their hands...  I hope this helps you.  Grant M in Pennsylvania

  20. I was actually just about to ask that same question. I don't think it is because look, we have 3 questions in it as I write this

  30. If you had ever acctually played handball, I think you would agree that it should have it's own section. It is not only popular with our neighbors to the south, but very poplular on the East Coast of the US. It is very hard (that's why people prefer raquetball over handball and tennis). It's is a lot of fun.
