The only reason I am asking is because every time they show it on the weather channel there is PURPLE in the center instead of a dark dark red? What about it?

  1. I think it is still to early to know for sure.  I'm on TV constantly the last few hours.

  2. Tropical storm hanna will most likely maintain tropical storm strength until it makes landfall on the east coast.  There is an air pressure blocking further strengthening so the likelihood of becoming a hurricane is very slim.  Anyway, stay tuned to the weather stations and keep yourself updated.

  3. I've heard her live performances are terrible, and then she had that awkward photo shoot with her dad.

So i guess you could consider her worse than those hurricanes...

  4. I haven't heard much about Hanna, but I just heard this morning that flooding in New Orleans from Gustav is expected to be much worse than the flooding from Katrina.

Re: the Purple:  Usually, they use different colors to show where different amounts of rain (or snow in winter) are expected.  The fact that you see it now, and not during Katrina, is an indication that they expect Gustav to be worse.

  5. THATS THE DOPPLER MARK OF A DEPRESSION.WITH HEAVY RAIN ASSOCIATED WITH IT.AS THE DEPRESSION BUILDS IN STRENGTH,THE VELOCITY OF WIND ENERGY WILL ALSO AND YOU WILL NOTICE THE MORE DARK RED COLOR THAN THE PURPLE WHICH WILL MEAN FASTER CLOUD MOVEMENT AND MORE ENERGY INVOLVED WITH THE SYSTEM.

  6. Nobody knows yet, Hanna is still a tropical storm.  Alot could happen between now and landfall late in the week.
