Is Haro Shift R1 worth the price?

I currently want this as my next bike. Is it worth the price (about $800 msrp)? How does it handle? Brake?

no.  I wouldn't go for a shift r1 just from a price standpoint , a specialized rockhopper will perform just as well under normal conditions, at less cost.  but if you do feel like paying the money for it, it will be a solid bike,  I just feel like you can get the same performance from one of those other brands.

you can go the route of getting a shwinn mesa and upgrading the parts, since the mesa has a super nice frame but the stock parts wont take a beating.
