He is a fictional character in an awesome book and movie series, and is portrayed by Daniel Radcliff.

There are mythical aspects to every great fantasy, and Rowling's series does follow some mythic archetypes. You could look at Harry Potter as a continuation of the mythic tradition, but to be a true myth, it would have to be something people believe. Since it's presented as a work of fiction, it does not qualify as a myth.

I agree with ancient, however, since asked, it depends on your definition of myth.  Myth is traditionally an origin story which is couched in religious terms -- thus the Big Bang can be described as a myth or Jesus who can be seen as having completed Creation whether you believe in either or both or not.

Harry Potter is a ripping good adventure story which is almost a compendium of myths and legends about witches and wizards which have been kicking around since the end of the great witch hunts.  Obviously it doesn't deal with the legend that they get their powers by being in league with the devil but most of the things that Rowling describes appear in redactions of oral history or records that go back centuries.  IMHO, it is not a myth, just a ripping good adventure story, and there is nothing wrong with that.
