  1. i agree with the first guy

  2. No.

As a matter of fact, Harvard was founded by descendants of the pilgrims (now Unitarians), so is nominally Christian, but has not had daily chapel requirements in many years.

Most big universities, including Harvard, are seeing growing numbers of Muslim students, and are thus providing more diet, living and worship provisions for them.

As mentioned by other posters, Harvard and its peer institutions provide chaplains, worship and meeting spaces, and other accommodations to Protestant, Catholic, Jewish and other students.

  3. HARVARD - Where you can BUY your degree.

  4. Just to clarify Harvard has a long history of anti-Semitism including statements by its leaders wanting to limit admission to qualified Jews.

It's got some radical liberals, but is generally an outstanding institution with many accomplished professors and graduates.

  5. No Harvard is not a muslim university.

  6. No. But it is being trapped by the very PC demands that it, and universities like it, foster.

  7. Harvard University is in general an anti-Muslim university, which gave rise to the neocons. Almost half of its students are Jewish. While the Jews have a fancy glass Hillel building for meetings and the Catholics have a cathedral for their functions, Muslims have to go to the basement of the undergrad dorms, walk past the garbage recycling center and past the laundry, to get to their little meeting room. Harvard is about as racist of a university as there is in America.

The gyms are probably operated separately. Women-only workout hours, while perhaps an idea spearheaded by outspoken Muslim women, will benefit practicing Jews and Christians and feminists and lesbians and any other woman who dislikes the smell of male sweat.

There are many women's gyms in the US already which don't even allow men on any days, so the idea of gender segregated exercise is hardly revolutionary.

It's highly probably that the pro-Israel lobbyists who are extremely active in Harvard and who have media access, used the story of the women's hours at the gym to create inflammatory Muslim bashing rhetoric in the mainstream media, which they often do anyway.

  8. No, but it has Muslim students, and caters for their requirements.

    Durrr.
