I dont see that happening in 2008 or 2009 to be honest with you. There is more of a demand for Paqcuiao to fight Edwin Valero and like the guy above me said, Hatton has got Malignaggi in his sights. Also another thing to look at is that Manny just moved up in weight class so i'm pretty sure his management team is gonna want him to stay there for a little while and since Hatton is at Light Welterweight, Manny would have to move up in weight again cause Hatton has already said he wants to stay at Light Welterweight since he failed to win against Mayweather at teh Welterweight division.

early-mid 2009. Hatton has Paulie Malinaggi lined up for a bout in the fall of 2008. Making a 2008 fight with pacman impossible.

Hatton will be beating Malinaggi this fall in november i think the 22 but the fight is set to happen in early 2009 after pacqiaou will probably have a fight with Edwin Valero the heavyhanded lightweight with 24 wins with all knockouts and as a challenger to his lightweight title.   Then he will move up to light welterweight or at a catchweight and challenge the 140 pound king Ricky "Hitman" Hatton.

no.. pacquiao is going to defend his lightweight Title against KO artist Edwin Valero on the 8th of November.. pacman wont fight hatton because hatton has a fight with Malinaggi.. In 2009, Pacman will go up to 140 to fight Hatton
