  1. No, it is not that hard. They will tell you that college is hard too, but it isn't! however, will say if you want to get into a good college make the best grades you possibly can, get involved in extracurricular activities, and do volunteer work. high school is important, but it is fun too!

  2. yeah its alot of fun and yeah theres a lot of drama and its also hard but really fun if u keep ur grades up and go to the school events and things

***hope i helped and good luck!!!

  3. Its both fun & hard. Its a lot funner because you get to be more independant. But the classes are harder and making friends is harder too. It is a lot easier if you start with a lot of friends before your first day, then you already have your own clique. But if you dont then its really hard to fit in with other cliques. Not because they are mean r anything but because its out of their comfort zone and not mature enough. Dont worry tho, youll love it.

  4. There will be some hard days, some fun days and a mix of the two...but what you learn will be valuable the most to you!

  5. It all depends on what clique(s) you are in. If are in a really sociable click, then most likely you will have fun. If you are in another clique, like an unsociable geeky/nerdy click, it will probably be rough on you. But just be yourself, because thats the only way you are going to make good CLOSE friends. If you try to be someone you are not, most likely you wont have any fun and will end up depressed and confused. Some people are preps, some are jocks, some are rich, some are academic, some are loners, just be yourself.

**OH, AND IF YOU CAN FIND A HIGH SCHOOL WITHOUT EXCESSIVE DRAMA, THEN  P L E A S E  TELL ME WHERE IT IS, BECUASE EVERY HIGH SCHOOL IS FILLED WITH DRAMA NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO.

  6. high school is very fun and unforgettable.always remember you Friend and you teachers, the bad one and the funny ones. high school is a time, that you spend moor time, with the experience with girlfriends than learning. in high school is the times that we get to know our first love.

  7. It depends on where you go and what your values/ambitions are. If you're the relaxed, fun-loving, I-don't-give-a-care-in-the-world teen, then it'll be pretty fun. If you're the more studious, I-must-get-into-an-Ivy-League kind, then it's a lot more difficult. But then again, it dep. on where you go - some high schools are a lot more diff. than others.

  8. It's very fun. There isn't that much drama, as long as you avoid it. You will enjoy it.

It's much better then elementry and Middle school.

    It's not much harder easier.

    More laid back.

  9. The difficulty of high school depends on the location of the school, who runs the school, and what classes you take.  Drama only affects you if you put yourself in it.  I am absolutely unaware of any drama around me because I'm only focused on the important aspects of it all.  High school will be fun if you make it fun, but don't make it too fun or you'll lose out on important academic opportunities.

  10. High School is hard, dramatic and fun all rolled into one.

It's hard bc you  have to take more challenging courses for your college application

its dramatic bc people are stupid but trust me it's not as crazy as middle school

and it fun bc you get to meet people that are way older and different from  what your used to and you don't get tried like a kid

  11. I went to a private school aka lots of parties and fun stuff.. also the material's a lot tougher at private schools.. but you get used to the workload your teachers give you.. for me it was more play than work.. I ended up w/ a 3.67/4 gpa..

My worst year was my freshman year.  Each year I kept doing better, and I think that's why I got into my top school.. which I'm leaving for in 8 days..  Make sure you work real hard your Jr year.. that's the year that you want to do well in.

Good Luck.. some of the best four years of your life are ahead of you.  Eight years if you go to college (from what I'm told)

  12. People will try to take advantage of each other when they are in social situations in high schools. Please don't get caught up in the usual high school popularity contests and things. Focus on being a confident, studied person that will stick up for herself and is ready to have all the fun in the world with really good friends.

  13. High school is like a rite of passage. You'll be fine. I doubt you'll have much communication w/ the seniors or juniors. The sophomores will likely give u a little flack, but you'll be fine. You'll make a lot of new friends and some lifetime friends. It's a lot of fun when I look back on it, and very exciting. You're about to do a lot of growing up. Enjoy the ride :)

  14. It's not hard at all. I'm going into grade 11 and the work is not so much harder as it is more of it. (you get lots of work). if you listen in class, have a neat binder (which i did NOT have..) and ask questions you'll be fine.

as for drama... there's always drame. heck! there was drama in the 2nd grade.

Just be yourself and don't do anything stupid!

  15. Since you're getting older, there's probably going to be more work but you can manage it easily while still having time for yourself.

The "drama" is easy to avoid: choose the friends you know will have your back and stay loyal. Don't get in involved in anything you know you don't want to be in. I think teen movies exaggerate the "drama" aspect a LOT. [if you're wondering, it's nothing like mean girls LOL]

As for fun, it will be AMAZING!

high school has definitely  been the best three years of my life. I've made new friends and done a lot of new things. I'm going to be a senior in high school now so I've just been thru everything you're worried about. Don't worry and just HAVE FUN.

    :)

    Good luck!

  16.   It wasn't hard for me, but just have good preparation for those finals. Make sure you have fun because you will have so many oppurtunities to be a part of something. Whether it's an academy, student government, club, sports team, or etc just  enjoy every moment of it because one day you might want to look back, and say " man was dat the good old day."

  17. Everyone has their own high school experience. For me, my first few years were a living nightmare... lots of drama, tears, and fights with people, but once everyone started learning where everyone stood on the "social ladder," it got better. My 3rd year was my favorite. I had a great homeroom, the teachers were great, and since then, high school was pretty decent for me. Of course, I went to a private school, so there were the stereotypical s****. rich kid c**p, but one you get used to people's personalities, it does get pretty sweet.

Just be yourself, and try not to impress people, or lie to people. Focus on classes, maybe get involved in some after school activities (my passion was theatre,) and work on establishing a good circle of friends. I think most of what you'll get out of high school is t he friendships with people. They'll either carry on into college and uni, or they'll fade.

    Be excited! Highschool!

(And the movies SO do not portray high school properly, so don't follow them at all.)

  18. It Was very hard for me, junior year was pretty fun though, my senior year sucked!

  19. High School is all what you make of it. Don't get behind, always keep up on your work and your senior year will be so much less stressful, other than that high school is a lot of fun. Don't get caught up in the guys to much, they hold you back!

  20. First off, I am going to tell you to relax. It's very normal to be nervous and not know what to expect, since this is going to be your first year in high school. However, you should also keep in mind that being too nervous can hold you back from making high school friends and fully adjusting to the high school environment. I am a sophomore at high school (tenth grade) and overall my high school experience has been amazing. You should always keep in mind that high school is a challenging time for all of us, because there is so much to figure out, but I assure you that it will be fine. The best advice that I can give you is to stay strong through ever hard situation, no matter what it is. Also, try not to make your high school experience revolve around people who gossip a lot and spread rumors. The most important thing of all is for you to believe in yourself and not worry about every single mean thing that people have to say about you. I am sorry to say that high school will contain a lot of drama and there will definitely be hard times, but its just a matter of how you handle everything. As long as you don't let every little thing get to you, everything will work out for you. Also, remember to balance everything out: boys, friends, and school work. Once you let go of all the things you don't need in your high school life (this is for you to decide) everything else will work out hows its supposed to. [Don't forget to have fun and make the best of high school, because it doesnt last forever.]

  21. From my perspective, high school is the most incredible stage in a american's life... YES it is fun only if you make it fun.. but make sure that you manage your time properly and have a good balance between your friends and school work.. it's going to be hard only if you're lazy or take extremely hard classes..

  22. hey i just finished my first year of high school. believe me its harder than middle school. but its a h**l of a lot funner. you have alot more freedoms but alot more responsibilities.

overall high school kicks the **** outa middle school.

  23. High school is fun. There is a bunch of drama...but really it depends on who you hang out with. I thought it would be really different from middle school but it wasn't. I personally don't think it is hard at all. I went to a k-8 school and that was ALOT harder then high school. I would just say to do all of your assignments.. do your homework and try not to forget to turn things in. If you turn in all of your assignments regardless of how well you do them, you will be fine with your grades. It is really not ALL that it is made out to be. I wouldn't be nervous. What you need is a good balance between school and friends..once you find this balance it is a piece of cake!!

    Good luck!

  24. Its alot of fun,

    im going into the 11th,

and i wanna go back in time to my freshmen year.

    i love it

  25. You don't have to worry about hard stuff at high school for the first couple of years, once you're in there and the bell goes, it's just a natural continuation from your schooling so far. Its the final year, or couple of years that is hard, not so much because of the subject material, but because of the pressure to do well and leave with a good grade.

I think many things in your first couple of high school years will be fun, since it is good to be meeting new people, and doing new things. Try to focus on subjects you enjoy, and make sure you never sign up for a class that doesn't interest you just because your friends are doing it.

  26. My freshman year was one of my best years. As long as you don't gossip alot, you should be fine. But there will be drama, because all of your elementary/middle school friends are all finding new ones, adn that is bound to cause problems. don't gossip, and you will be fine :)

  27. There will be lots of drama, but you can handle it.

It's a lot of fun, and hard at the same time.

You'll be fine! Trust me, just be yourself!

  28. It kind of depends on what your aim is--to get into a good college or just to get through it. Of course there will be a lot of drama if you surround yourself with the wrong kinds of people. I know a lot of people who party too hard, get into alcohol and drugs, etc., but you just have to use your good judgment and resist.

My whole high school career has been centered around academics because I want to get into an Ivy League school (I'm going to be a senior next year); freshman and sophomore year were okay but junior year was the hardest thing I've ever lived through in my LIFE. If you're afraid of it being "really hard" then just make sure your class schedule fits your abilities; you determine how many CP, Honors and AP classes you take.

But on the whole it's also been a really fun experience. It's so much bigger than middle school and you meet tons of new people and you learn to drive -- it's just an exciting time of life in general!

  29. It will most likely be both! The drama began back in 6th grade and continues maybe through 10th until everyone finally gets a little maturity. The work will be hard at times, but that's how learning happens. But there are many activities and friends that are really fun and interesting in high school. Focus on the positive and growing up won't be so hard.

  30. I'm going to be a sophmore this year and i thought that it was exactly the same as middle school except you're going to have to deal with people doing drugs and drinking and a whole bunch of other illegal things a lot more.

  31. If you are popular its fun, but if you are not it sucks. It amplifies depression pretty badly. As for the academics its not hard at all, you just have to study.
