Do you think everyone is jumping on the Obama bandwagon because of a personal dislike against Bill/Hillary?I mean if Barack wasn't running...Clinton would be top dog...Is Hillary a nice person behind closed doors or the total opposite? What happened during the Clinton admin. to turn people ,against Hillary this time around? Was too many political promises made and not adhered to ? When liberals celebs like Jane Fonda and David Geffen switch..I start to wonder? Anyone have an insider's clue and please be objective.

  1. Not to mention Bill Richardson.  Read some of d**k Morris' books for a behind the scenes look at the real Hillary - not a pretty sight.

Hillary is not a people person, she is not likeable.  She does not have the alleged charisma (which I find phoney and easy to see through, but I am apparently in the minority on that) of her husband.

  2. I will try to be objective!  I am a conservative, so it is hard, but I think there is a lot of baggage and sour tastes left over from when Bill was in office.  There is also the issue of opening the pandora's box of having an ex-prez as a "first gentleman"...nobody knows what that will bring and people like to stick to what they are comfy with.  Hill isn't doing herself any favors when she changes her story on Bosnia and also by having her 26-year old daughter on the campaign trail and then refusing to answer questions about Lewinski.  Obama so far hasn't had too much scandal, other than his pastor, and he hasn't been in politics long enough to have a record to attack.  He's also young and attractive and a fantastic speaker.  I hope that was objective enough.  :-)

  3. I think some people are just so charming & Obama is one of them. Of course, Clinton has had people against her for so long but I don't think any of it is legit. People try to do the same thing with Obama & instead of giving his power away by saying it is a right wing conspiracy he just connects with it & says "I understand why people think that but I can assure you" then he explains the clear & logical explanation. He is being seen as someone who brings people together. If you listen to all the garbage about Hillary you start believing it but it just isn't true.

  4. A lot of people don't like strong women.  Hillary won plenty of enemies when she tried to start a national health plan when Bill got elected.  She has a strident voice & lacks the charisma of most natural politicians.  She doesn't have the je ne sais quoi that major movie stars and big deal politicians typically have.

Apart from that, most of it is probably attributable to differences in preference for political parties, attitudes toward the Clinton administration and for those who hated it, an aversion to having another 4-8 years of it.  Some people prefer Barack's message of hope - although if they are Democrats, he's actually further right than Hillary and closer to McCain and Bush and the republican party as a whole than Hillary.

I don't see how a little lie about a man's sexual behavior - I think the stats say 50% of men are unfaithful in marriage and I imagine most of them have lied about it - so men lying about s*x is kinda to be expected (men are biologically hardwired to have multiple partners & perpetuate their genes), so I don't mean this as anything against men - just Monica is so not interesting.  That's between Bill & Hillary & apparently, they resolved the issue of fidelity probably while they were still in college.

Anyway, differing opinions on Hillary's likability are just like differing opinions on such things as whether dogs or cats are better or whether apples or oranges are better.  Differences of opinions about her political positions are slightly more complex to whatever extent they go beyond whatever one has been indoctrinated to believe either through their parents or other sources that they look up to.

  5. Is Hillary Clinton hard to like as a person?

She got upgraded to: "Person" Wow! When did that happen. I gotta see what she is like now.

    Thanks.

  6. No, but she would be d**n hard to work for as President, which is why she keeps losing support among old allies.

  7. I think people like Bill a lot. Hillary would make a strong leader, but she comes off too strong. She has a campaign that seems like shes tryin to leave Barack bloody on the side of the road.

  8. Yes. Nobody likes being lied to. If Obama was not in the race John Edwards would be the top dog.
