She may be happy, that a women is on the ticket. However this opens out the fact that she may not be able to get elected as president.

Hillary is a veteran of the game. I am sure that she would prefer to be the nominee, but she also realizes that her future is better with an Obama win, so she is smiling.

Also regardless of her own ambitions, she and Bill worked for civil rights their entire lives, I am sure she is proud of the first African American nominee and that he is a Democrat.

Her bitterness is overblown and largely an invention of the media

I think she is smiling.  What more perfect revenge on Obama, than to have another woman bring him down.  She's clear for 2012 and has the satisfaction of knowing a feminist (albeit with different positions) was the slap in Obama's face for what he did to her and her supporters.

Hillary's in a great place right now.  She has become one of the most influential women in history, and her political career is far from over.

Frankly, Hillary is a Presidential candidate, not a VP candidate, so she's better off waiting for 4-8 years and making her move, then.  Hopefully, she'll put together a better team.
