Is Hollywood, CA a actual incorpor8d city?

According 2 the Wikipedia article, Hollywood is a part of the City of L.A., so I'd assume it's not a city; it's a district. I did learn that West Hollywood is a incorporated city, & that Hollywood does have a mayor, albeit a figurehead mayor. & according 2 a map of L.A. County, the City of Los Angeles covers a large area, which includes part of the San Fernando Valley. When I was a student @ Cal State Northridge, I remember news about the Valley wishing 2 secade from Los Angeles.

  1. According to the U.S. Census, Hollywood, CA is not an incorporated town.  You are correct about West Hollywood which has a population of 35,716.
