No.  The Department of Police State is composed of Social Services, the Department of Education, and the soon to be enacted (if liberals have their way) the Department of Health and Welfare Services.  These are the people who keep track of your every move.  The newly created Department of Health and Welfare Services will soon be telling you how to live because they are paying for your health care and for your other services to maintain your lifestyle.  (Wait, don't we already have a Health and Welfare Services Department?  Brrrr!)

This is how a police state begins.  Did you know that a County in California has just enacted a bill making trans fats illegal?  Well, isn't that just ducky.  Here is a government entity presuming to tell people what they can and can't eat.  Can you imagine the cost of trying to enforce such an idiotic law?  (Oh yes, they'll get that from higher taxes, don't worry).

They justify doing this because they are footing the bill for your health care.  Whose fault is this?  The government?  No, that's like blaming your dog for humping someone's leg.  It's what they do.  When you give the government control over your life, you let the government decide what's best for you, they will do what they do best; like your dog, without thinking about you at all.

You will soon be a prisoner of governemnt rules and regulations that will make your life unliveable.  You now become an 'outlaw' if you try to live a life of a freedom loving person.  THAT is a police state my fellow American.

The Homland Security Department is one of the very few legitimate departments I can think of today. It will exist only as long as there are people who wish to kill us and destroy our property.  It's designed to do the one thing that the government is supposed to do, yet people are rebelling against it.  They (the government) are supposed to protect us against all enemies foreign and domestic.  That's it!  They do not regulate how we live, what we eat, what we can and cannot drive.

The government is not supposed to treat us as if we are total morons.  Yet there are so many people in this country who feel that the government should be involved in all aspects of our lives.  WAKE UP PEOPLE!  We are turning into one huge socialist state because we fear the unknown and are loathe to take responsibility for our own welfare.  Either we take responsibility for our own actions, or we allow the government to do it for us, thereby creating our own police state.

Yes, the security agencies have always wanted this kind of authority. It is much easier to protect a society where all of its members are gagged and bound.
