Is Hometown Buffet good ?

Is it good ? I dont normally like buffets because I think the food taste like it has been sitting out and reheated. I never tried hometown buffet and my boyfriend wants to go there but I was wondering if its any good. Please help.

If you do not like buffet's you will not like hometown buffet. Besides, buffet's make you a fatty mc fat fat.

No not unless you like bland food that everyone has touched, sneezed, coughed on. EWWW!!! I think I'm going to barf just thinking about it.

The chicken there, fried and roasted, is awesome.

Otherwise it is c**p.

Get chicken, a green salad, and some soft serve.

depends on the featured menu items of the day...  my dad likes it a lot so when i go with him i usually get some soup, make a salad and then have a little of something else...  you will definitely find plenty to eat there that is decent or better (taco bar, fried chicken, carved ham, pot roast) but unless you pig out or have a coupon I don't think its worth the money...  sit down places cost slightly more but personally, i get exactly what i wanted and usually walk out with leftovers...  

check the day's menu before going..  i usually do when my dad wants to go...

The one in my hometown is good.  Sometimes they have gizzards and frog legs though.  You just have to hold your nose when you eat it and it's OK.  The pudding is watered down so that there will be enough to go around and the cake is not very sweet.  Sometimes they forget to add spices.  Also, I found a couple of roaches behind the salt and pepper shaker once.

The Hometown in Stockton,ca. used to be  good but is now not good.Most people I know will not go there anymore .  Stopped by one in Bakersfield, Ca. about a year ago ,but it looked so bad I left. The one in Tracy Ca. is excellent. Hope this helps.

The food is very good. I don't mean gourmet just good.

Compared to other buffets the food is great.

To the person who says they are expensive. You must have been in a cave since the 1950's. The price is about $10 (about the same price of a meal without a beverage at Dennys)for an adult. It is all you can eat and includes all you can eat dessert and all you can drink  drinks. Do not and I repeat do not eat at Soupplantation. Their food is stale and you do not get much. A few salads and maybe some pizza etc.

Hometown Buffet you get steaks on certain days and plenty of variety.

As general American buffets go, it is pretty good.  If you don't like buffets though, you won't like it.  See if there is a Souplantation near you.  It offers a huge salad bar, at least 4 soups, a few different types of pasta, baked and sweet potatoes, types of bread, and low fat soft-serve ice cream with toppings like granola.  If the buffet is missing fried food and tons of meat options, he may not be as excited to go.  If he does, you both benefit because now you can form a healthy meal.
