Is Houston a popular destination for Calgarians?

I heard from a friend from Calgary that people there talk about moving to Houston TX? Is that true? and is Houston a good place to live?

This usually happens only to people who work in the oil industry in Calgary. Most major oil and oil services companies have offices in Calgary and Houston. Their employees get offers to transfer to different cities all the time. Houston just happens to be the centre of the oil industry in North America, and Calgary is the centre of the industry in Canada, so transferring between these two cities is pretty common.
