Is Hugo Chavez still a hero?

He is now making decrees to enact laws that the Venezuelan people voted against and his supporters are blacklisting opposition candidates. Do people like Sean Penn still think he is a hero?

Only to people that have thier head in the sand. Its completely amazing to me that a guy who is bordering on being a total Dictator (controlling media, silencing opposition, abolishing almost all forms of capitalism) is praised by the far left in the United States! These liberals are so clueless and never cease to amaze me. Also, I know plenty of Widows and Parents who lost thier sons in the war and they all agree Cindy Sheehan has made a mockery of her son's name and is currently using it for political advancement. Her mindless advocacy of Chavez's regime is a big black eye to her name and it's very sad shes taken it as far as she has.

well hes not a hero and hes a dictator but you know what else he has oil and we need as much as we can get .now we can play let freedom ring or try to get along with this man who now has made friends with china and russia and iran and this little man has said that they will be nuclear in the future . and to let you know how serious he is if the usa would do the right thing and invade chavezz and his army would fight to there death.he has said that. to me i have one thought why was bill clinton buddy buddy with him while he was in power? i will tell you because  he was afraid chavez would become friends with our enemies
