IS DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING FROM IGNOU APPROVED BY AN AICTE. AND CA WE TAKE ADMISSION FOR B.TECH. IN JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA COLLEGE, DELHI.

IGNOU approval of AICTE is not correct question. As IGNOU is set by passing act in Parliament, it is fully autonomous in functioning. In regard of non-technical courses necessary sanction of UGC and DEC(ignou itself) posses so, it is fully approved everywhere in INDIA. However an effort has been made of joint approval of technical courses from AICTE-DEC-UGC where AICTE has given its only consent for MBA. But AICTE approval for running courese of IGNOU is not mandatory. As kapil sibbal quoted "Although IGNOU does not required approval of AICTE but it should maintaing its regulations in technical courses." I hope problem is sorted out.
