Is IPHONE 3G worth buying in singapore now that they are launching it?

Now that it will be out this friday (August 22, 2008). Do you think its worth buying? Do you think the earlier problem of hanging calls have been resolved? Plus NO VIDEO CALLS... hmmmmm....
