I think that has been proven with the test match series in Australia last summer.  Despite winning one test, the Indian team did not shine until the one day series began in which they were superb.

No. I don't think so. IPL is just a commercial tournament, and most players have signed in just to make some easy cash, that's all. They would surely be more serious about tests. Some of the Indian youngsters who have got an opportunity to play for the IPL, are not even regular members of the Indian test squad. As for the senior players, I believe that they are experienced enough to handle all situations. So, it is not likely that IPL is going to affect India's performance in tests. But if this professional rivalry creates disharmony between the players, then the situation might be different. I hope that wouldn't happen.

NO it shouldn't as 20-20 i sdifferent & test cricket is different. Hope players will adjust to those types as they are pure professionals

yeah i think it will affect,players will become more aggressive in the batting style and will not have that much tolerance needed for the test.

The mind set of 20/20 cricket to test is entirely different. With

the monies poured around in 20/20 making them a quick way

a make a buck, it will definitely impact some players. It will be

used as an excuse by some critics and ex-players - mostly

comes when Indians loose a test match...or else no one will

even remember during winning times.

There are few players - the seniors gang, Dravid, Laxman,

Ganguly, Kumble, Sachin will hardly see any impact. They are

very experienced and will not have any major changes and

they are professionals who can fit depending on nature of

the game being played. Youngsters will definitely have a big

impact as they try to adjust and will have hard time getting into

the rhythm.
