Is ISHARES FTSE a good buy right now?

Ticker symbol is FXI. I am concerned with the 3 for 1 split they just did. Is China going up or down generally.

China has seen a steep decline in its stock price. The Asian stocks are volatile. IMO the world  economy is turning down and it's not the right time to enter markets, Chinese or other.
