Is Ibiza as awesome as it seems?

I've heard and seen great things about Ibiza, that it's the best spot for clubbing in the world and hosts the best party scene anywhere. I'm thinking of going on a vacation there sometime in the next few years and seeing how plausible it would be to live there, but i think my expectations might be too high. Is it as amazing as it looks online?

Ibiza, part of the Belearic island chain, is lovely. In the summer/holiday periods the beaches are almost a free for all but unbelievably crowded.

You probably don't speak Catalan (most don't) but if you've Spanish many more doors will open to you.

Frankly, I'll never return. I got mugged and robbed. If you decide to go, I hope your experience will prove to be more pleasant than was mine. Good Luck!!!
