I recently got my first apartment and im looking to furnish it nicley without spending a fortune. I was wondering if things such as their bedframes are any good(dont want a twin bed with painted flowers on it anymore obviously) or if they are cheap and break easily. What about their kitchen products? Any good? Worth buying?

  1. You can get some great deals at Ikea. Just make sure you have help putting together the furniture - I've found it frequently takes more than two hands to hold all the pieces together while you attach things, and if you're holding all the pieces together, who's got a third hand to work the screwdriver??

  2. I like Ikea. There's nowhere better to go to get most of what you need to furnish a place on a budget. However, I won't buy furniture made from particleboard from Ikea or anywhere else. It's heavy and it doesn't hold up well. Just choose your pieces carefully, assemble exactly according to the directions and you should be fine. I have bought kitchen stuff from there and it's fine. I especially like their stainless steel pots--you can buy just what you want and don't have to get a whole set.

  3. YES def but its hard to assemble their furniture but sworth it!

  4. love love Ikea.  i have an Ikea bed - it's a mattress and box in one, with a mattress pad thing over it and i added memory foam.  most comfortable bed i ever had.  i also have lamps, kitchen things, shelving, baskets, bedding from there.  all good!  don't love their towels, but all else is totally worthwhile.

  5. Everything I have ever bought from there has been great. My sister has a whole bedroom set from Ikea and we havent had any problems with anything breaking. I love the store, all the furniture is so inexpensive and cute.
