Definitely not now, because of their tour of Sri Lanka. Dhoni is still bragging because he is the captain, and he needs to put his team in high spirits, even though it might be unrealistic. According to ICC stats, Australia is he best. But for me, cricket isn't about winning and losing. It is about the team, captain, confidence, consistency, and spirit...etc. For me only one team can measure up to all these standards....SRI LANKA!! They are an amazing group of guys, they are on a roll, and they are on the road to their second series victory!! GO SRI LANKA!!!!

Jealous users like mask and Oz will always say India is No.1 even if they lose to Ireland.They are telling India is better than Sri Lanka because of fast pitches.What the h**l are they talking ? They have forgotten previous series against Australia and South Africa in home on fast pitches where their bowlers wiped them out below 100 runs.Dhoni with 183* in flat pitch against under-prepared Sri Lankan attack has never played a innings after that.In fast pitches he looks like a duck struggling with footwork.Players like Dhoni and Yuvraj have big egos,party animals and whatever they say about India being no.1 you will find them drunk and having brawls in pubs.India No.1. Australia is better than India

India is better than Sri Lanka because of the following reasons:

1. India have won test matches on fast pitches, which Sri Lanka have never done

2. India have some batsmen in 10000 club, whereas SL has only Jayawardhane, who has scored 4000 runs out of 8000 in Colombo

3. India has a much better pace attack than Sri Lanka, in spin also India is not lagging much from SL.

4. India has recently contributed to a premature exit of SL from the CB series on fast pitches with a young team, which implies the deficiency of Sri Lankan batters to play technically on fast pitches !

5. India is going through a transition stage , when there is a problem with team composition and management however on competency point of view India is much ahead than SL

6. India is hurt by bad umpiring also in this series due to a proposal of integrity check of umpires from TV, which umpires didn't accept congenially and furnished a sophistacted backlash to Indians in the form of gifts of dubious LBWs in whole series !

so i will still rate them miles ahead than SL, its a matter of time before they start beating SL comprehensively again, they even showed their class in second test match !

Now coming to second part of your Q, which is offensive to indian cricketer Dhoni,  calling Dhoni shameless for a non-offensive article doesn't make any sense to me, shameless are those people who remain obscure and covert and exploit the psyche of umpires to get favorible decisions and also prepare conditions which are too much oriented to own benefit, he is quite transparent in expressing his feelings, Mendis wickets coloumns will get reduced with time and its a hardcore fact !
