  1. yes

  2. of course

  3. It certainly looked like a successful event to me for the following reasons:

It kept the cricket crazy people engrossed and happy, more so for the ones who developed loyalties.

The league made its money (probably a lot more than it had originally thought as attendance and TV viewership were high).

The players got a good chunk of money at a time when most would have not been making any.

The games were played professionally and largely incident free.

It bonded cricketers from different countries together in the same team, giving them a chance to experience the game from a different point of view.

I am sure some of the lesser known players got a chance to learn from their international and senior counterparts.

  4. i heard that todays final is going to be watched by 99mn viewers whereas the T20 final had 48mn so looking at the numbers you can definitely say its a hit but its still early to judge.it depends on season 2

  5. It was successful for cricket itself.

It has globalized cricket and created a larger fan base.

For long term cricket fans the IPL has been something that we've wanted to forget about. I for one don't want T20 cricket to replace any form of the game. And Some classify it as not 'real' as you just need to be good at slogging the ball and there's not much in it for the bowlers... i WAS one of them.

But i've looked at the IPl and i think it's excellent. In T20 cricket accuracy is the key to it all, whether your a fielder, batsmen, bowler, keeper, umpire. Accuracy is a beutiful skill to master... and T20 cricket is the form of cricket that allows you to master it. It also allows teams to become more of a team and is a fast thinking game. I NOW classify this as 'real' cricket.

The only downfall of this is the factors such as

    * players may become injury prone as the IPL goes on for a while and more and more cricket is getting pushed in

    * Money has become a part of cricket... you can look at this in a bad way or a good way (i look at it as bad)

Other than that i think it has been quote successful in many people's eyes.

  6. yes i think so

watch final live match on http://alltimetv.com

  7. Not at all.

  8. Yaa, its very succesful.

People enjoyed it , Buisnessman and cricketers earned a lot of money  & many local players become popular !!

  9. yes it is successful event .all the players are signed becoz they get the money in course of less time than they play for their team   even some of the players are ready to take retirement to play for ipl many of the players got chance to prove their tallent it is an encouragement to the young players.small disadvantage injuries nothing more than that

  10. Maybe in the Indian spectators eyes, not in mine though, all it has done is cost players injuries that will keep them out of their countries games-Tendulkar,Smith and Hayden...

  11. yes its quite a Hit wid da Indian Masses.....but it is not hit on the international front! but i hate IPL....

    IPL Sucks!!

  12. Yes but 6 weeks of continuous T20 has made some people boring

  13. for few its succeessful n 4 few not...................

but 4 my part its really not a succeessful 1

  14. you still have a doubt

  15. Yes, ofcourse.

  16. yes a huge hot

  17. whether someone agrees or not, it is a successful event for sure.

  18. Is there any dobt in this. IPL has been a huge success and has completely aaltered the face of cricket. This can be seen by the fact that australia, englan, pakistan and new zealand are all thinking about starting their own leagues based on the IPL format.everybody has benfitted from the IPL. the estabilished players have become much more richer, while the youngsters got huge amounts of experience playing with the big stars. This has obviously had a very positive effect on them as can be seen by the performance of the jaipur team where players whom nobody had ever heard of have announced themselves to the world. Not to mention the audiences. They have had the time of their lives. I went to watch 2 matches at the delhi ground and believe me the atmosphere was electric. It was like 1 huge party. IPL rocks big time looking forward to it next year and the years to come.
