Is Insurance Express.com, Inc 2101 Center Park w. Dr a real company?They are also called United Insurance?

I am in Florida and need Hurricane and Homeowners insurance. Insurance Express is supposedly located at 2101 Center park W Dr Ste. 175 8 west Palm Beach FL

When I speak to the agent he sounds like he is in a giant phone room.

The reason I ask is because they offered me Hurricane insurance, and homeowners for $955 with a $1000 deductible. sounds too good to be true .

My present Insurance Carrier (Citizens) costs are almost $3000 with a 5,ooo deductible

How can I check them out to make sure they pay on claims.

Insurance Express is the name of the agency.  You need to ask the agent the name of the insurance company so you can call the Florida Department of Insurance and get a rating for that company.

Insurance express is an AGENCY.  United is a COMPANY.  

You can check out a company at www.ambest.com to be sure they're valid, and with your state insurance department to be sure they're licensed to do business in your state.  

If someone is offering you insurance too good to be true - it could be a scam.  When you say they "supposedly" have an address - does that mean you aren't going to go down there in person and do the paperwork there?  

Florida is just ripe for insurance scams - including selling fake policies.  I didn't know United SOLD homeowners insurance.  BUT.  Ask the guy for their NAIC number, and his agent's license number, and check it out with your state insurance department.  It would NOT surprise me if he's selling fake policies, using a fake address.

That's why I say . . .NEVER BUY INSURANCE OVER THE INTERNET.  Go to a real office, with a real person.  He is NOT going to be able to offer you REAL insurance at a fraction of the going rate - which is what he's doing.  I think he's going to take your money & run.  Forget payout - you're not even going to get a real POLICY out of this.
