  2.  I am a professional photographer in the industry. I went on an interview with my son. The $800 fee plus printing of cards is absurd. I know people in the industry and this is not how it works. If an agency thinks they can market you, they will pay for head shots, etc. They will make the cost back on the first gig. By the way, if you want to cancel, they tell you have 3 days. What they don’t tell you is you have to submit it in writing and it has to be POSTMARKED within 3 days.

Stay away from this place. They are slick and talk a good game.

I’ve bee in the industry for over 10 years.

  3.         It really upsets me that everyone here has no idea what they are talking about. Most of you idiots didnt even go through with the services then you say all these crazy things because you have to pay for something and that drives a lot or people away. You are a fool. You destroy a beautiful concept or idea that Interface has worked to maintain just because you find out you have to pay for something. No matter what you do or no matter what you have heard you always have to pay for something, even in life. Tyra is full of s**t. She'll do anything to bring those ratings up.  Nothing is guaranteed or free in this industry or in life. I went through with the services, a bit skeptical at first, but hey its the closest I would ever come to living my dream. AGENCIES DO NOT DEAL WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC and I know ZERO people in the industry so you have to get some representation because there is no way you can do it on your own. I do not and can not wait in another line with 1000's of people anymore. What better than to go with someone that has a promotions team in the industry for 25 years and works with over 200 different agencies with an over 82% success rate. I can care less what you fools say. They did it for me. Doesn't matter what anyone says.

    Take my advise:

    1. There is maybe a .05% chance that an agency might even look at your childs PICTURE let alone work with them.

    2. You can not tell how someone's personality is through a simple picture so of course there has to be an evaluation.

    2. You will always have to pay for the RIGHT representation.

    3. If you kid is cute and has potential, get them started as soon as possible. If they do not please SAVE YOUR MONEY and stay home!

    4. There is a model for everything!

    5. You will never understand how successful you can be unless you give it a try for yourself.

Oh yea, and for the idiot down below. If your daughter didnt get called in 3 YEARS dont you think you should maybe called or asked for help from their promotions team. You're an idiot for paying so much and not doing anything about it. THEY PROVIDE ME WITH A MONTHLY ACTIVITY SHEET TO TRACK MY PROGRESS. They send me one everyone month because I asked them to. I checked and they are the only company who does that. INTERFACE IS NOT A SCAM!

  4. The biggest scam of all!! They find you @ the mall, call next day for appt, and then BAM!!! swip your card before naything!!!Beware!!! Stay AWAY!!!

  5.  seriously tori? you are not an employee? just a concerned citizen. yeah right. your fat a*s worked in ct until they sent you down to boca. its not slander if its true.  you have been brainwashed. we both know they treat the employees like garbage. i have no idea why any employee current or former would ever go out of their way to say something positive about the company since you know they would never go out of their way to help you.

  6. So many people are convinced that interface is a "scam." However, not one of these people who feel that way has ever tried their services. They are a "talent marketing company," not an agency. So, yes of course there is an initial fee to develop your comp cards (photo shoot) and then too print them (in order to market you), All of this is clearly stated. After all, it is not a nonprofit organization. Also, if all of you have fully done your research, you would now that the BBB (better business bureau) is being investigated for fraudulent behavior, favoring those companies who pay for their membership and scoring those who don't poorly. Now, those former employees who feel the need to hold a grudge for losing their jobs, this is very immature and quite frankly you can be charged with slander. Lastly, Guest22673620 (former employee) you have no business mentioning anybodies name and you too can be charged with serious felonies. I am not an employee and I have not used their services, because I have no children. However, I have been doing research on this company for quite some time and I have come to the "logical" conclusion that they are providing a positive and legitimate service to those trying to break into the industry. If you don't want your child to be apart if it then doesn’t give them your info, and please, there is no need to slander and/or bad mouth that which you know nothing about.

  7. My younger brother has went to the evaluation, photo shoot, and marketing interview. They still haven't put up his profile yet. They said you can't view other people's profiles. When I asked why (I am 11 by the way), the lady completely ignored me. I figured maybe they don't let uou view other profiles because their are no other profiles. Since my brothers profile isn't up yet, nothing has happened yet.I'll post soon!-

  8.  It is a scam. Yes, they provide you with what they say they will, but they convince you that you'll go far with this career when really, you are just provided with some basic photos. When I went there with my mother for the first time, the women was very nice to begin with. Later on in the appointment, she mentioned a large begining fee we would need to pay. My mother said she would have to speak to my father about it, and from that moment, the women wasn't as nice as she first appeared. It's not a company that provides you with anything useful.

  9. For everyone posting that they can do this on their own...

    Heres an anagly for you...

This afternoon, I got a car wash.  I paid nearly $30. After that, I went and got a haircut.

Cant we say this about my car wash and haircut also?

Someone very easily could tell me, why would I have paid for the car wash when I could do it on my own.  I could go out, pay for all the supplies, soap, brush, etc.  I could have also bought a buzzer and scissors and have done my own hair

However I dont have time to do this.  And more importantly, I have no idea what I'm doing therefore I would not have done as good as of the professionals.

We are all aware you can TRY and do this on your own.  The point is you are paying InterFACE to do it for you.

  10. Do you realize there is not 1 complaint on here from a CLIENT!!! NOT 1!!!

  11. Hello all,

I have been reading all these complaints and to be honest some are very humorous. First overall, please use spell check and or check your grammar when trying to post a message. It says a lot about the people who are writing these.

Anyway, each and every complaint is from someone who has never used the services. Although, I currently hold a small role in the company, Im sure any client who is not satisfied with the service, the company will help to address it. Being upset you cant get a refund, because YOU do not take responsibility for signing a contract and not reading it! that does not make the company a scam. Here is how every complaint goes down...

    1. Client decides to move forward and pay. (does not read agreement, highlighted cancellation policy that they initial)

    2. client goes home, reads ccomplaints from other non clients.

    3. client calls to cancel. Client is past 3 day cancellation period. Client get irate and threatens to go to malls and let everyone know!

    4. client writes company is a scam.

Its all the same. No complaints are from legitimate clients who have gone through the process. I know for a FACT there has been thousands of clients who have had positive experiences. Yes, this company makes money... no one ever denies that. But the company would not be in business for so long if it was a scam.

As far as the old employee. Please. What a great way to vent because you were fired or let go. Feel better? if you did a better job, you would not have been let go.

  12.  Interface walks a fine line between legitimacy and fraud. There have been others to try a similar business model in the past. "Emodel", "Options talent", to name a couple. Both of these have been shut down.  Here's generally how it works.......

    Step one: The Scout

You will be approached by a so called "Talent Scout" in a public place telling you that you or your child should be in the talent industry.

These are basically the first part of a sales team. They most likely have no talent industry experience and are a young person just trying to make a living. It is their job to approach a certain amount of people in a certain amount of time and give you a card and get your information.

    Step Two: the call center

Your information is given to a call center who's job it is to get you in for an appointment to meet with a "director" (who is basically a salesperson, but we'll get to that).  They will relentlessly call you until you come in for your "free consultation".

    Step 3: Meeting the "Director"

You will meet with a person called a "director" for your consultation. They use the title "Director" because it sounds good. These people are sales persons with little or no talent industry experience. (much like the scouts). They are paid on commission and have a sales quota. It's their job to tell you what they have to get you to sign up for an expensive photo shoot so that they have pictures to market you to people in the industry (which they absolutely do!).  However, remember it's about sales not potential talent.

    Step 4:  The photo shoot

If you have chosen to purchase the very expensive photo package you'll be scheduled for a photo shoot.

You will come in, have your hair and makeup done and be photographed in an assembly line process with the others that have signed up. The photos that I have seen are mediocre at best.

    Step 5:

After you have had your photo shoot you will come back again to see them. Now you will be asked to spend more on their "Marketing Services". (which you probably thought you had paid for already). They will send out computer printed, photos to people who represent talent for an additional fee. If you want a CD copy of the photos that will be an additional charge as well.

Some people may get some kind of representation and actually get a bit of work. Others won't. They tell you this and you'll sign a contract which states they did.

Long story short, You or your child may have what it takes to be in the talent industry. Then again, you may not. Interface will tell you that they think that you do regardless. Again, it's a business and businesses need to make sales.

Here's my advice. If you really think that you or your child has what it takes, find a couple reputable agents and ask if they have an "open call".  They may ask for some photos in advance, but you'll be able to find a reputable photographer that is far less expensive. You'll probably get better pictures too. The agent will truthfully tell you if you have it or not for free.

If you think that you or your child has what it takes and have a couple thousand dollars laying around, then you may want to use this service. In Short, "may the buyer beware".

    Good Luck

  13. I just got a call to set up an interview. I was very clear with the guy that I didn't want to waste my time, and I wanted to know upfront if there were fees involved. He was very smart with his response, so much to the point that I am now researching to see if it is is legit. He explained that is it marketing.

The odd thing was that I explained to him that I am part of the AFTRA and SAG unions.. and he had no idea what those were. That raised a red flag to me. Of course now that I explained it, he may now use it. So I guess, after reading these I will not go. Ive been trying to get on CSI forever, and when he said that they could help I was excited. As I figured, another scam.

    Good Luck folks!

    Jay

  14. Interface is a 110% scam if you ask me my professional opinion, and I am ashamed to say that I was an upper mgmt employee of their's for a long time some years back. I can honestly say that they do absolutely NOTHING except for the inital sales push (often times cruely aggressive) to sign you up and swipe your credit card. After that, they could care less whether or not you get work. They claim to want a minimum 75% success rate of their clients getting booked, but the truth is that once you have paid your initial money to them, it really does not matter what happens to you from there because they have already pocketed your money. Sure some negative press hurts them a tiny bit, but they just keep on suckering honest people everyday into believing that Interface actually cares about them and that any negative press is untrue. The owner Roman and his wife Danielle are two of the rudest and shadiest people that you will ever encounter, that I can promise all of you out there! The company actually wanted to promote me right before I left, and even though the money was pretty good, I just couldn't sleep at night knowing that I was part of an unethical business that was literally stealing money from innocent victims by the day. To me Roman Vintfeld is no different from Bernie Madoff, except for the fact that Vintfeld stays one step ahead of the law through "legal business practices" that are in all actuality completely bogus. If the federal authorities knew what really goes on at Interface behind the scenes on a daily basis, I have no doubt that they would shut down the entire operation and imprison both Roman Vintfeld and his wife Danielle for a very, very long time!

  15. InterFace is a BIG scam!!! Just go to their home page and read their disclaimer (below) that basically states that they are not required to do anything with the pictures or Video other then take as much money from you for the photo shoot... Read it for your self below... Save your money it just a big scam and they use the disclaimer to stay in business...

    2007 InterFACE Talent Network LLC.

  16.    Signed up with Interface in East Brunswick November 20, 2010. They have a nice facility and close to Manhattan. Totally thought it was a scam, but just about three weeks later I got called for two auditions. I was shocked. One for Home Depot and the other for a community college. I got the community college, but not Home Depot. lol. The people at the audition for Home Depot said they would like to have me back. Not sure if they would actually lie. Doubt it though hopefully.

It didn't feel right even at the moment I paid Interface, but I stayed positive. I wanted to be a model for so long even before college. I asked for a monthly report of whats going on and they provided me with one.

I read the whole page and it looks like most didn't even go through with the whole process. You have to know you have to pay for something. None of this would of ever happened unless I did it for myself.

Ask yourself,  Is my kid really cute or not? Or as it says below, "You either have it or you don't!"

  17. Interface is a scam I went yesterday with my mom and the lady name Torii kept on sweet talking me and telling me "oh your so pretty ,you have a nice smile, your so confident and then she brings out peice of paper showing prices that range from $500-$5,000 and kept on telling me to get the most exspensive package I couldn't wait until that meeting was over so I could get out of there and NEVER EVER RETURN

  18.  We were scammed at the Boca Raton office.  A good hour and a half of detailed talk that made me feel like my child was already a model thinking about how my child would handle sand and dogs and a cheerios commercial. They are good and very manipulative. We spoke to a tall slender "director" named Lauren?? I felt awful right after she swiped our card and we are trying to cancel now. Please stay away from Interface and play with your precious baby and treasure them. If anything maybe your kid will get discovered or send pics to agencies yourself like world of kids. Never pay money and pray about every decision you make.

  19. I worked for Interface as an appointment  setter and this company is a scam if there ever was one. We were under constant pressure to set appointments and have hourly quotas and got the blame when the appointments don't walk through the door because we didn't sell the appointment hard enough.

People who are stupid enough to fill out the lead cards can be called several times a day and left endless voice messages urging them to call back because some scout gave their child a high recommendation and the appointment must be set NOW! We can only set appointments a day or two in advance which puts extra pressure on these poor parents who need to basically reorganize their lives to meet with a "director" who they are often told is just around for the day.

Everytime I saw parents in the parking lot going in for the interview, I wanted to scream at them to run away as fast as they can. The appointment setters received minimal training and are then unleashed on innocent parents who think that their children will be the ones to make money for the family and perhaps lead them into a lap of luxury.

Yes, there are kids who get jobs, Interface claims to have an 80% success rate and appointment setters, when pressed are told to mention many different companies that hire their clients and the few success stories. But I doubt the money earned even equals the initial payout for "marketing tools."

To their credit, they do insist that potential clients under age 22 bring their parents along and that both parents must attend the interview and bring legit ID to prove who they are. But that is the only decent thing I can say about the company.

As for their workers...we were hired with promises of high bonuses and payouts for setting appointments only to learn that you really have to sell to even qualify for the smallest payout. And there were some people who could sell, sell and sell and didn't seem to care about what they were doing to sell. One employee even told me outright that he was good at the scam and could sell anything to anyone. Generally they hire college students and those of us who needed some sort of job and were willing to take $9/hour without benefits and turnover is high. The call center supervisors treat their staff like dirt, treat them like three year olds and then complain when people chaff at the rules and regulations.

I have told my children and friends that if anyone approaches them in a mall and asks if they ever considered modeling, to run in the opposite direction as fast as they can.

  20. I will say I agree with some of the information that was posted here. I went  through the process, was approached at the mall and told once i got there that  my son was the cutest thing in the world, which of course is what i think, lol.  they then told me about the photoshoot which is extremely overpriced but I will  say after paying it and reading posts similar to this i thought i was a silly  fool but i did the pictures the same day so i could not get a refund if i wanted  to, then you have to go back and find out about the fees for marketing which is  in addition to the costs that you already paid for the pictures. so i paid for  the smallest amount of marketing since my son was so young and while i thought i  was being scamed i figured that i already paid that much money so whats a little  more, if i'm gonna be a partial fool i mind as well be a complete fool. I am  sure most of you are thinking you stupid fool, well thats how i was feeling a  couple days later. but to my surprise about 2wks later i was called by a actual  agency who only gets paid after my son gets a job and they get 15% and i get the  remainder 15% of the remainder has to go in an account that i cannot touch and  my son cannot touch until he is 18y/o, and about a wk after signing with them he  was sent on 2auditions, 1 for toys r us and one for huggies. he did not get  either job but just being sent made me feel happy about my decision to deal with  the overpriced company interface. All of this took place Nov 2010 and just this  month Jan 2011 he was signed through another agency through interface. I agree  with posts stating that you do not have to pay to get signed with an agency but  I tried very hard to get him signed without help and was consistent but nothing  happened and signing with interface showed results I feel very fast. I will say  i think they signed almost anyone and that I believe there are tons that may  never get signed but at the end of the day its still the look that the aspiring  model has to get a job because you either have it or you dont. And also they  have so so many fees that arent told up front so they make money off of ppl  paying for pic and then quiting because of the extreme additional fees. Also the  make up artists and hair stylists as well as the photographers are ok, not the  absolute best because my son had even better pictures when i took him to picture  ppl as far as lighting and poses. And at the time my son was 8months so he didnt  even utilize the make up and hair stylists. So now you have ppl that say its a  scam and some that say its not i will be honest and say some of those that say  its not seem to possibly work for the company maybe but I promise I dont and  thats why I went into so much detail because I want you to see a possible  postive outcome although I still think it was to much money and not enough info  upfront but thank god for me that my son has been signed to 2 agencies from them  and prayfully he will get more auditions and land a job. But regardless I can  say I am happy bout my decision to deal with them because without them he would  never have these opportunities at this current time.

  21. IT IS A SCAM!!!! FRAUD!!! RUN !!!

They changed their names many times. They operate as "Industry Model & Talent Studios" in New Jersey, "NewFaces" in Hicksville, New York, "InterFACE" in CT, and "iTalent" in other various places.

They approach moms with their kids at the malls, asking how old the child is, and saying that they "have the look", "they could be famous"!

Once you go to their office for a "free evaluation", they pressure you so hard in every way until you can't take it anymore, and you end up giving them your credit/debt card number and signing a contract agreeing to pay them thousands of dollars, and it's more likely that after the payment, you'll never hear from them again.

THEY WON'T GET YOUR LOVELY KID INTO THE MARKET!!!

    STAY AWAY!!!!

  22. Thanks everyone!

It happened with me exactly as told here, at the mall, telling me my baby was gorgeous, then the next day, the harassing over the phone, bla bla bla...

I have an appointment today. I can't wait for them to call me, so I can tell them they are a scam and that I'm aware of their big fat lies...

  23. They ARE

in FL now, my daughter was approached in a Mall in Boca Raton, FL, and somehow they got my # also and will not stop calling. Went online first chance I got, Thanks everyone......I literally told them my daughter was at a funeral, and with family too busy to talk this weekend and they still keep calling....  We haven't lost any $ etc. but now I want the calls to END!!!

  24. Same scenario - approached a t Westchester Mall. Harrassed by phone. Finally, we gave in to see what this is all about. We were fed the same line all parents want to hear "your child has the look - they're beautiful, ." Dana .Corben. asked us for a card number to hold on a verbal agreement of three days. -still felt fishy -however, she did NOT honor verbal agreement and put our card through- I checked out BBB to find out this co. received an F. Called my card co. they helped us to go through the legal process of calling her back to tell her "I want the charges not to go through my card." Legally, she should have honored this - NOT. We still went to FEd Ex last night and put this into writing as well. Susanna. Hartwell. said she would call us as soon as she received this mailing - she did NOT - it's 6:53 pm she signed for this at 10:06 am. I spoke to Kay. -who switched me to Karina she said she is Susanna .Hartwell's. boss. then she switched me to Joyce. of customeer care - who then said told me I needed to speak to the manager Ms. Rodriquez - who is not there. My response was, " NOT by law you have to put the money back on my card." Joyc'e response was"As long as I followed their proper form of cancellation." Please check with BBB - you will see the many complaints received. I have typed names incase you come across these individuals. YES UNPROFESSIONAL - that is CLUE #1. Guess my family had to learn the hard way - if you would like any more details please ask. If anyone is interested in a group complaint at the least to the Westchester Mall - we are willing and able- they are so obnoxious that we literally can't walk by Pottery Barn. Yes - we have our card co. and lawyer ready to tae action if this is not resolved by Sat.

  25. i got a call from then last thursday out of the no where i never signed up for it and i have no idea how they faund me which is pratty strange i went to the interview with like my whole intire family since im 14 the whole way there i was praying to god that it wouldnt be a scam. the lady there was super nice and most of the kids where lik 5 and under well i totaly bought it and i have the 1,500 photoshoot this sunday well see how it works out and ill right about w.e happens.

  26. Interface is a scam. Don't waste your time or money on these people. After shelling out close to $2500 on my two daughters, I can honestly tell you that there are con-artists.

I called the "agency" that they told me they sent my daughter's photo to, and they told me that they never heard of Interface and would never go on this website to scout out new talent.  The agency i spoke to is a Legit Modeling agency and told me that if i was serious about my daughters being involved in modeling that i should simply take a picture from my own camera and send it in.

She said that would not ask me for a dime...

If you are on the fence over the Norwalk office location-come over to the smart side and dont' return these phone calls.

Any positive feedback on this site is surely one of there stooges try to reel people in...I can guarantee that those pics they show you of people in magazines that have been "discovered" through interface, have been photo shopped.

Hope that they go out of buisness soon-though i hear they have their sights on closing on their own and opening up shop in Florida now...

I wish everyone luck out there if they are trying to get refunds out of those scammers

  27.  I am so glad I am reading these answers! Last Friday, this "agency" stopped me and my friend in the mall and said we were so pretty. Of course as a teen girl, I was very pleased to hear that. She then brought me and my friend over to her booth and kept saying we had "the look" and how pretty we were. She seemed nice, but I definitely had bells ringing off in my head because I am not naive. I have heard about scams and such like these. No way am I giving away my money. As an aspiring writer and currently a less than wealthy college student, I thought, hey this would be awesome if I could get some jobs modeling here and there for extra cash. Plus, if I expose myself to the entertainment world, my books and screenplays would be easier to get out there. I suppose that was naive thinking. It is not that simple. So, I filled out a card with my name and number and figured they would just forget about it or whatever. My friend refused to do so. The next afternoon, I got a call from I believe it was Roman, and he was already pressuring me to make an appointment. I told him I needed to speak with my mother, being I am under 21. He then said that he would like to schedule me as soon as possible and that he would call back at 3pm Sunday afternoon. It seemed like he wanted to rush me over there, even though I told him I am very busy between working part time, going to community college full time, and applying and visiting four year schools. He did say I "had what they were looking for", but I thought to myself, well unless my name and cell number said "starlet" to you, then you don't have a right saying that to me. He didn't know what I looked like. I only filled out the basic info, and my height and weight. On Sunday, I got a call from him at 10:45am, which was way earlier than expected and then I told him I would be available to talk. Besides, I had not spoken to my mother officially about this. So, I ignored his call because that just seemed too pushy to me. If I am interested, I will tell you! You won't push me around, I am 19 years old! He then also said that I was only about 30-40 minutes away from this place in CT. I live in NY and it actually is about an hour and a half from my location! I mean it all sounded exciting to me, but who wouldn't be excited over getting some cash from pictures and having a bit of fame? Nah, not for me. I will just save my money for my college and focus on writing. I will get there the old fashioned way: hard work, talent and scam free! 5,000 dollars my a*s! Thanks to everyone on this page for the warnings. I got a strange feeling about this in my gut, and followed it. I am glad I did my research. I will not be scammed into debt for nothing!

  28.  Interface is NOT a scam.  It is a MARKETING COMPANY, Marketing companies absolutely charge for their services.  Let's say you invent something. ie: iphone, you the inventor will pay a marketing company to promote your product and get it seen by the public.  Same concept with Interface only YOU are the product that needs to be seen by the industry professionals.  If this company was a scam, do you guys really think it would be in business so long??? Also, most of you from what I am reading did not even go through with their service so how is it possible that you know they are a scam??? You never even gave them a chance to promote you.  I can go on and on defending this company because they have actually helped me alot in this industry.

  29. I experienced the same thing. After the free evaluation, we fell for their scam and paid the $1175. As we got home, I googled Interface and found dozens of negative feedbacks. So we decided to send a cancelation letter thru a next day deliver. By the way it happened last Jan.9,2011 and they received our letter Jan.11,2011. We called them and they told us that they will mail the company check after 30 days. My question is why they can’t just cancel the transaction in my credit card? btw, it’s not a cash transaction it’s a credit card transaction. And cancelation of transactions here in America is so normal. And there lines are so scripted and none sense. Could anyone can give me an advice? Will they really give my money back?

  30. So you want to know about interFACE. I can tell you EVERYTHING about the company. I don't know if I would go as far as saying they are a scam  because we do tell potential clients there is a cost involved. If they dont like you they will take your money and not market you.  The owner of the company Roman not such a bad guy but then you have his b*****s who do all of his dirty work... Ramon, Neil, and Areson.   They constantly yell at everyone and tell you to not scout "BAD QUALITY" ... bad quality are minorities...people who dress ghetto...they discriminate sooo much and they make it extremely obvious.  Everyone has the same exact pitch and we have to approach every good quality family and tell them the same thing....  "your child is sooo cute"  even if they are overweight or not good looking at all.  This job pays extremely well (when your check isnt bouncing) or when they actually pay you on time.  but at the end of the day all you are is their whipping boy. They hire young kids to do the dirty work and treat you how ever they want. also their lowest package for the picures is 500$ to their highest 5,000$!!! ... take your own pictures you will save a lot of money! ive seen the pictures they have taken and they are really not that great

  34. i wanna be in modeling and i took pics there and it was fun. do any of u no any good legit modeling places that are cheap and will actually maybe given me a job!!!

  35. FORMER EMPLOYEE INTERFACE TALENT NETWORK IS A COMPLETE SCAM! number one, they hire 16 and 17 year olds to recruit in malls and give manager postions to people who have abs no degree or certificate and who have never had any expierence. they will throw anyone on the floor if they think they can wind people into the scam. They are the most unprofessional company stay awayyyy! yes some people do get jobs but look, you are paying what over a thousand dollars to take the photos which is by far the worst and unprofessional photo shoot, and get called once to do a 2 minute movie extra, and get paid 50 dollars for the job? what a successs! NOTTT! its really hilarious, they trick anyone, make people broke. i have no idea how they sleep at nigt knowing what they do to innocent people. ROMAN, ROMONE, AND OLGA(owner, district manager, and vice president)  i hope they are forgiven one day. well thats it for now and sorry to everyone who got scammed, but please stay away.

  36. I just got a call from them offering me a job interview.  This is the 4th time they have called me.  I finally said please don't ever call me again and hang up.  The woman CALLS BACK and says "if you don't want people calling you, you should take your resume off Hot Jobs.''  i hung up.  Then she EMAILED me the same thing.  I am floored right now.  This company is a total piece of s**t.

  37. I don't know whether to go or not...

  39.  I have worked for a "scouting" company just like Interface, so when they approached me for my 1yr old son at the mall I knew what  was going on. I decided to fill out the card and come home and check them out anyway though. I already have my son signed w/ my former modeling/acting agency but was curious how they ran their scam. I haven't heard from them yet and never intended to actually go but it sounds exactly like the place I used to work for-as a "talent scout". They hire attractive people to reel you in (I did this for several months) then sell you a package of pics and provide an internet site for you to display them where "industry professionals" will check them out. Yeah right. They will continue to change their name and eventually go out of business just like the rest of them. Don't fall for this people!!!!! I agree w/ some of the others on here- the "positive" comments are coming from the inside. Oh and one more thing-not all agencies who ask for money are a scam, but ones like this are. I speak from experience…….my agency (one I used for modeling/acting -not worked as scout for) took a fee for representation and offered photos but did not require you to take them, you could provide your own. I have worked on major network shows as an extra and gone on national commercial auditions so it was definitely legit-just don't expect to get calls every day! As for babies and kids, when I signed my son w/ them they never even mentioned their photo packages because they wanted snapshots from home because they know that kids change so much, so quickly  that's all they need anyway. OH! Can't believe I almost forgot this…..after I worked as a scout for a company like this I was promoted to be their open call director-----the ENTIRE GROUP SESSION IS SCRIPTED, I know because I had to memorize 3 pages of lines- DON"T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!!!!

  41.

We met with Interface today (BOCA RATON, FL) and they are high pressure used car sales people. They wanted to close us right there and we told her we wanted to research this a little more before giving them hundreds of dollars. They continued to lower their photo package prices by 50% just so they can get money from us. Like anything today, do your research before making a decision...They smallest package was $575 for 1 photo...pretty crazy, you ask me! They will tell you this is a fast pace industry and you need to make a decision right now and that most people sign up at the end of the interview. I told them, I never buy the first car I look at! What a waste of time!

  42. people dont listen to this i am a male model for this company and ive been getting alot of work

  43. they are a scam. if you want to secure your refund, file with the Better business bureau online. they will definitely call you to ask you to retract your complaint. but I'm sure any of you who have felt they pressured you into paying (or keep calling your phone to make you go to appointment), feel that they are using pressuring sales tactics. and probably won't retract the complaint.

i just read on here that some people didn't get a refund, so just trust me and file because I don't know why they care so much....their rating is already terrible and hundreds of people already complained about them. it doesn't matter if they solve complaints with only clients who file with the BBB but they should solve them with others. as well as not scam other people out of their money.

I went to an appointment last week and had the same experience as people on here and I have also read the press release about them in 2008. Don't trust them. Their actions all seem very fishy. and they probably do everything in between the lines. they'll give you what they say, for example a photoshoot. But really? you want to pay that much money? If you really think you are talented in singing or acting, or really beautiful, find auditions! Find other legit ways! They are standing in the mall every single day... It's not like it's a director whose eye got caught by you. Be realistic! They mainly go after children I've seen...because parents want their children to become stars and they will pay money.

You'll regret it if you waste your time to go to the "free appointment" which they'll probably rip a grand out of your pocket by the end of the meeting. gotta give them props for probably going to good schools for marketing and business though. real smooth talkers.

if you complain to the BBB, there's gonna be some retarded kid calling you telling you that they were not lying...blahblahblah... and to retract your complaint and to offer you an opportunity to see that they are legit and everything. nobody cares. Really? they think they're that legit after THAT MANY PEOPLE complained about the same problem? --- their sales tactics and the fact that they won't show you written facts but just a lot of talk? i asked them to show me whatever they told me in writing but you feel just like you would in a car dealership. they keep smooth talking and pushing time. do i have those papers that i can read that say what they have actually done? come on, of course they can't promise you fame but they h**l as sure make you feel like if you pay 5 grand, you'll definitely make it pretty far.

  44. WOW so glad I read this. They stopped me in the mall yesterday but I told them I couldn't talk long because I had to go to work. So I left my number and walked away. I didn't they would call but later this afternoon they called me and asked me to set up an appointment in CONNECTICUT. They told me I live ONLY an hour and twenty minutes away and to come tomorrow. NAH. Try three hours. I can't wait until they call tomorrow to harass me and I can tell them about their horrible reviews from the BBB :)  Plus, I'd rather save my money for medical school.

  45. I signed up for a photo shoot...put down deposit....cancelled, they will not refund my money even though I have a credit balance....figure that one out!!

    SCAMMERS.

  46. Trust me.  I'm a parent with a child who has been signed to FORD models NY since he was six months old.  I myself am a former FORD model and currently a screenwriter/producer.  I have years of experience in this business.  (Oh and....I know three people on the inside who work for this company!!)

FIRST:  I will NOT agree that every single agency out there that asks you for money up front is a scam. Not really true.  Some agencies are smaller and don't have the industry reputation and money that the larger places do, so, they may charge an up front fee to get things started.  That's not exactl a scam and to be honest, can sometimes be advantageous because these places have less high profile models on their roster, less kids and can provide much more personal attention and service. (providing they're actually out there working for you.)  Not to mention....the major agencies take anywhere from 10-20%  out of all work anyway so, money does come back to them.

NOW....these INTERFACE or formerly INDUSTRY TALENT or whatever they call themselves are serious criminals in every way possible.   I had the privilege of going on an "interview" with a friend of mine who asked me to join so I could provide my opinion as to whether they were wasting their time.  They were interested in my friend's daughter.  I went.  I saw. I nearly DIED laughing and couldn't believe the audacity of their scam.   Again, I don't fault them for doing what they're trying to do and for hustling....But their so called "marketing" "promo packages" "photo packages" ranging from about $700 to the top package of $6,000?????? Are you f'in' serious!!!???  People listen to me:  First.........your kids don't need hundreds of photos to get out there.  Second....if you were to book a normal photos shoot for your kid with reputable photographers anywhere in NYC or a major city...you should expect to pay roughly between $200-$400 tops!!!  YOU DON'T NEED TONS OF PICS OF YOUR KIDS!!  Doesn't work that way.  Even for the aspiring teen model.....A basic photo shoot, a nice comp card and that's that!    As for acting.....you need a good headshot!  Unless your child is being shot by Annie Leibovitz.....it won't cost you hundreds to thousands of dollars!!   I like this place...they're freakin' hilarious!!

The sad thing is the amount of parents and people out there in general who have no clue whatsoever how the business really works at all and they're lured in.

You tell people their kid is cute and can make it....they EAT THAT UP!! Parents want to think they've got the next superstar on their hands and out of pride and ignorance or even just the genuine desire to fulfill their kids dreams....they'll do whatever to try and make it happen.

And I LOVE their approach of "we're not an agency!"  Okay, so....they supposedly work on getting you noticed by industry professionals?? WTF??  Let me tell you this people....If your kid went the convential route of trying to find a legit more reputable agency like Wilhelmina Kids of FORD...and they didn't make it.....this Shty House Marketing company Interface or whatever isn't going to make it happen for you by calling FORD or whomever to help "get you noticed!!" Doesn't work that way people!   Traditionally, unless you're scouted by a major agency...You MAIL IN A FEW NATURAL SHOTS OF YOUR KID TO THE AGENCIES AND YOU WAIT. IF THEY CALL YOU FOR AN INTERVIEW, THEY'RE INTERESTED. IF THEY DON'T CALL, THEY'RE NOT INTERESTED. PERIOD!!!!   Doesn't mean give up, just means that agency isn't interested in repping you or your kid.   It's a tough business for sure.

The people/guests...coming through on these pages to defend them are obviously folks associated/affiliated with the company.    Smarten up folks.

  47. These people called me, 3 times today. after i told them im already signed up to a diffrent agency, this guy said he can help me find more gigs, and stuff. i had to block there number! He says how i can find me so many job oppurtnuitys! When they dont even know what i look like! Last time i checked this industry is all about the "look and talent" hen they call just tell them i know about your scam and if you call again i'll report you, they'll never call again.

    there a SCAAAAAAAAAMMM!

DO NOT pay them ONE penny.

    DO NOT!

  48. i kind of agree w guest 21005947 to a certain poimt sometimes these agencies are not a scam because some companies have to have some money to work w nothing is completely fee and that is true just becuz someone may have the look doesnt mean you have the personality or the any of thw qualitys that they are looking for. however if an agency starts talking about you need to buy there pictures thats when it becomes a scam becuz you do not need to purchase there pictures you can take pictures in your very own home they want to see is your face features and maybe your height at times thats it so places are scams some arent. no one will know until they see what they are talking about in person or you can bbb the agency but dont take someone elses opinion because you dont know there situation who knows they might b just cheap and dont have the money or they could b wishing for a miracle if it was that easy everyone would b a tv star it's not easyits almost like u have to someone who knows someone but dont knock it  until u get out there and try it

  49. My five year old was cornered by two svelte young women in the mall and gave us the line about how perfect he could be for modeling.  Took my number and said they'd call, which they did.  This was a Monday, and this pushy woman insisted we drop everything and get there by Tuesday--and the wife had to come as well. The wife has a job in midtown Manhattan and can't run off like that.  She kept at me.  My wife said it was a scam the day we returned from the mall, but  I was naive enough to think it was real, after getting abused.  I had checked out the company on the web and it appeared legitimate

So I tell the obnoxious woman that I am a journalist, and that she'd better be telling me the truth.  "Is this a scam?  If so, you are f*****g with the wrong  person."

    Never heard back.

  50. i got called today from interface and tlaked to a miss.teressa...idk if its lagit but i mean it doesnt hurt to just go n see for myself. she never said anything to me about money or having to pay im 15 and in h.s i never went to the mall n signed anything for them soo how did they get my number? idk but i dnt mind goin to check them out its not lik im stupid enough lik some to give them my ss# or my credit card. ppl once u hear about money u kno its a scam open ur eyes lik really

  51. I am so glad that I researched this, I have an appt tomorrow and thanks to these comments, they can go f*ck themselves.

  52. Me and my boyfriend went to inter face in N.J. and it was a complete scam in my opinion. We met with a young Cuban guy who was very kind and energetic. He kept telling my boyfriend how he "had the look" and would be so marketable. He went on and on about what they did and how they could make him successful for about a hour. Finally he started talking prices which we expected for cover shots, but he started getting real pushy. We explained that we would give him a call once we talked it over. He then went on about how he would lower the price and cut us a deal. We continued to explain to him that we were not going to make a decision at that time. He then went on to make what I believed was fake phone call to his so called manager about lowering the price even more! Once again we declined the offer fearing that it was be a scam. He then continued to explain that it was a great opportunity and we should not pass it up. Finally after we would not agree to the prices he wanted us to leave a deposit! We agreed to a deposit and said we had to leave to go to the bank just so we could get out of there!!! He stated he wanted us to sign a contract and asked for his SSN number! At that point I was done! I thought this was going to be a meeting to discuss what they could offer but as soon as you get into the office its all sales and pressure to commit to a crazy price and contract right there on the spot after one full hour of being told that your the next best thing.

  53. Hmm, my daughter was scouted by Interface in a local mall last week.  They drew us in, and as I had been approached just about everywhere I go with people telling me my daughter was gorgeous and should be in modeling, I figured I'd give it a shot.  I signed their stupid form and they told me I'd be given a call in about 6-8 weeks where someone would discuss my options with me and if interested I could set up an appointment.  Well the call came all of 2 days later.  In my naivity, I was excited for my daughter.  The appointment was supposed to be today, but after reading all the comments and complaints I'm thinking of not going.  I'm not saying the company's not legitimate, but my daughter is 7 months old.  My job laid me off when I was pregnant with her, I can't afford to pay $2000 for pictures for her when 4 months from now she's going to need more!  Infants change too fast for that.  Plus, in my research, it's my understanding that for children that young they want to see more pictures that you bring from home as the child is in their natural habitat and you have more pictures of them over a long period of time.  Again, I'm not saying the company can't do what they're saying they will, I'm just saying I can't pay that much money when I'll have to pay it again in 6 months, and then again 6 months from then.  Just be careful people.

  54. i dont believe that it is a scam, people if u paid the money and ur kid didnt get a job, its bc they cant get work for your child. they cant guarentee that they can get a job for all kids, but u pay for the photos to be taken, which is very EXPENSIVE, and then they put your kids in if the job description fits with their look. theres nothing they can do if the agency doesnt want to hire your kid. what do u want them to do? harrass them? u either got it or dont got it. so sorry parents that ur kids are too ugly to get the jobs, or just not talented enough. thats the thing about these companies. they are a key that in regular life, u just would NEVER get. are u gonna go out to find all the agencies and pay for the pics urself and bring them in there? a lot of places wont even bother listening or lookin at ur pics. this is an opportunity for middle or lower class to make it if they really got it. its like the lottery. and u should understand that if you go there and give them ur time. dont call them a scam just because they cannot guarentee that it will happen immediately. i bet you if u keep calling, and pursuing it, eventually they will find a job that is right for your child. so please people try giving them a chance. dont just believe people. bc not everything people say are scams really are. get ur OWN opinion on it

  56. This is f*****g scam guys. Just stay away

  57. INTERFACE IS A TOTAL SCAM! THEY HIRE GOOD LOOKING KIDS TO SIT AT A DESK AND GET PEOPLE TO SIGN UP. AFTER BEING HARRASSED I JUST GAVE UP AND FILLED OUT THE LITTLE CARD. THEY CALLED ME 2 DAYS LATER, I TOLD THEM THAT I WOULD THINK ABOUT IT AND CALL THEM BACK. OF COURSE I DIDNT, SO THEY CALLED ME EVERYDAY FOR LIKE TWO WEEKS AND FINALLY I AGREED TO SCHEDULE AN "EVALUATION",N U MUST KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENT CUZ IT CANT BE RESCHEDULED (WHATEVER). I GOT THERE AND OF COURSE THE WAITING ROOM IS FULL OF PEOPLE, AND YOU HAVE TO WAIT BECAUSE THEY DO CALL THE PEOPLE THAT LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE MORE MONEY FIRST. I MET WITH THIS VERY HANDSOME YOUNG MAN, HE WAS A VERY NICE GUY AND WE HAD A VERY NICE CONVERSATION, HE TOLD ME WHAT INTERFACE DOES, AND THEN WE STARTED TALKING ABOUT OUR PERSONAL LIVES, TO FIND OUT WE ACTUALLY HAD A LOT IN COMMON, BUT HE WAS STILL AT WORK SO TRIED TO GET ME TO SIGN UP FOR A $2,000 PACKAGE WHERE U GET A PHOTOSHOOT BUT U HAVE TO BRING YOUR OWN CLOTHES, WAT KIND OF s**t IS THAT. I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD THINK ABOUT IT AND HE ENDED UP GIVING ME HIS CELL PHONE NUMBER TO CALL HIM. INTERFACE STILL TRIES TO CONTACT ME. BUT NO MODELING AGENCY ASKES THEIR CLIENT TO DISH OUT MONEY!!! IT IS A SCAM, DO NOT FALL FOR IY, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!

  58. HI everyone. I actually went today to Interface Agency that is actually not an agency. They scouted me in a mall. By chance I have experience in modeling so I usually don't let myself fooled by the recruiting "agencies" from the mall. I know what they want. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY AND AGAIN MONEY.  But this time, I decided to go to this not agency named Interface. They are located in Boca Raton and they don't have like a big logo on the door or anything like that. Everybody was so so friendly and the first girl I talked to said that I have potential and I can do a very good job in modeling with my attitude. Really? I new that!! I used to work in fashion for my whole life. Despite I showed them my professional portfolio, they pushed me into buy a photo shoot that cost around $1500. Are this people insane??? Don't they read the news?? We're in economic crisis!!!! But anyway ..... I'm a model ... I don' pay for a photo shoot I usually get payed for it. So I got there, I had to show them 2 forms of IDs. One my ID and second my debit card. Just because of the high pressure environment I halfway agreed for an appointment thinking I can cancel later. Before I closed my mouth saying yes they already swiped the card :))). "Woa woa woa !!!!" I said ! "Hands off the credit card. You didn't actually think about charging me the $1500 today. At least let me think about it for a couple days." So she said that she's giving me a very good opportunity and things work very fast in fashion industry. Fashion Industry is been just fine for 1000s of years .... it could have waited another week. When they saw the sheer terror in my eyes about the $1500 they dropped it to $500 and then to $50 and than to $25 even $10. And then they wanted me to sign a credit card agreement. With this kind of things they raised my suspicions about how serious mall agencies could be. So .. if ever anyone is hunting you in a mall for $1500 I would take Ugly Betty' pictures (and this is before the make over).

Bottom line this non agency is a joke at best and a scam for suckers. I'm a freaking model .... you pay me ... I'm not paying you!!!

  59. What does a Scam consist of, 1) Necessary Services - Pictures 2) Belivers - you and your beautiful child, 3) Money - People shopping a a mall.4 Play on emotions - Your child in a business meeting, can't say no looking at that georous face - WTF 5) More necessary services - Marketing. 6) Money - yours.  Interface who name use to be Industry, guess the law was catching up to them so they changed it. If it worked for you, you are approx. 2% of the 100% that went in with good intentions. STAY HOME AND ENJOY YOUR CHILD! NOT WORTH THE RISK.  WANT IN ON THIS BUSINESS, DO YOUR HOMEWORK - NOTHING IS AS EASY AS THEY MAKE IT SEEM.

  60. As for Guest20804793 the 9 yr old who is successful all the time, you are rediculous and impossible.  Interface needs to stop putting positive information regarding themselves.  Thank you to all the people who informed me about the scam and I will be writing that certified letter today for my downpayment back.  They all cannot be wrong.  Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!

  62. it is not a scam because i am a 9 year old girl and i have been called from them about 10-20 times and its all successful!

  63. lady, you have no time on your hands if your plotting "plans" against interface. your outta your mind. get a job or hobby.

  64. IT IS A SCAM, THEY APPROACHED MY SON IN THE MALL. THEY JUST CALLED TONIGHT AND COULD NOT BE CLEAR ON THE PRICE OF THE COMP CARD. WHEN I ASKED THE PRICE AGAIN, THE WOMAN TOLD ME THAT ALL DEPENDS ON MY FINANCES! HA, WHAT A JOKE, SO I PLAYED ALONG WITH THE LITTLE GAME AND ACTUALLY SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. FIRST THEY TELL ME THAT BOTH PARENTS HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE EVALUATION, SOMEHOW I WAS ABLE TO SWEET TALK THE REPRESENTATIVE INTO ALLOWING JUST ONE PARENT TO BE PRESENT. OF COURSE, THAT WAS ALL PART OF MY GAME PLAN!! AND THEY ALSO TELL YOU THAT THEY HAVE A POLICY, NO SHOW-NO REBOOKING, PLEAAAASSSSSSE! THEY LIKE TO PLAY GAMES, WELL THIS ONES FOR YOU INTERFACE, ENJOY IT, YOU DIDN'T GET OVER ON ME AND NEVER WILL! IT IS 2010, AND PEOPLE ARE SMARTER TODAY! I URGE PARENTS TO PLEASE RESEARCH ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. INTERFACE YOU ARE NOTHING BUT SCUM BAGS! AND YOU ARENT GETTING A NICKEL OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY,SO GO OUT AND GET REAL JOBS. PARENTS, IF THEY ARE APPROACHING YOU, IT'S NOT REAL! AND NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS FREE.

  65. you all can b***h and cry all u want. u bought the pictures, shouldve read the contract! get a life and stop writing online about how bad ur life is. I have a contract w them and I was on law and order, gossip girl AND an advirtisment for GAP. everyone on here is obviously under middle class if ur bitching about pictures. its the price you pay to get started in the industry. ive personally met roman, hes not bad at all. as for their call center, they are rude, but they arent the people gettimg you involved. you should stop listenung to the sob stories and experience it for yourself. who knows, maybe your kid is somethimg special and those others werent!

  66. They are interested only in your money and how much they can steal from you. My wife was just approached and they keep calling our home for us to come in foe a consultation. I can't wait for them to call back so I can answer the phone and discuss this scam with them. I will goof around with them like I am really interested just to waist their time then tell them they can go to h**l.

  67. I HATE TALKING ABOUT THIS, BUT I WILL TELL YOU WHAT HAPPEDED TO ME AND EVERYBODY I KNOW THAT WENT THERE.
First of all, when I got to their office with my 2.5 year old daughter all I saw in the waiting room was “not so good looking kids”.
Anyway, I paid over $2000 (the gold package) just for the pictures on the CD (You have to pay $50 extra if you want the copy right).  You would have to pay extra to have them all printed out. ONCE THEY TAKE THE PICTURES YOU CAN’T GET YOUR $$$ BACK.
A month later we went in to look at the pictures. We would then have to choose 5 pictures for the business card that could be printed out ($4.50 per card) or have it advertised on their website for 2 years ($1.700…)
My daughter was an outgoing child that would catch the attention of people walking on the street. They would stop just to say she looked like a porcelain doll.
Resuming, I paid a little less than $ 3.000 thousand dollars for the pictures on the CD and the advertizing on their website for 2 YEARS.
Almost 3 years have passed and I have never received a call or an e-mail from them.

  68. now i really don't weither to take my kids down there i'm so confused. should i or should i not?

  69. yess!!interface talent is definetly a scam!!!ive been scouted by a random person at sixflags new england and they walked up to us telling us there sucess and there big white book of kids in law and order...ect.. DONT BELIEVE THEM!!!...i then filled out this card and they called me back two days later...i went to the evaluation and Laura Wheeler was my "director"..SOPOSBLY!! she was talking to me...she looked at me and kept telling me how pretty i was and how good i look in pictures...either way..i ended up making my parents pay the 2000dollars...when i got home i then researched after i paid..(i know i was stupid) but i imedialty called and i waited on the fone for 2HOURS!!! for them to tell me i need to mail in a cancel request!!!....either way they did paid my money back...but u know i will never be seen there!!!

  70. InterFace is a scam. I wish I could be there all the time at one of their booths and warn people off. We signed with InterFace 2 years ago. In the last 20 months we heard from them once. Of course they deny any wrong doing and NEVER return any money.

  71. DO NOT BE FOOLED INTO THINKING THIS IS A LEGITIMATE WAY TO BECOME A MODEL. Do your homework -- this company is a total scam! They have a failing grade from the Better Business Bureau and an extremely high number of complaints against them. I'm embarrassed that my husband and I were scammed into bringing our kids in for one of their "evaluations". They billed our credit card for thousands of dollars and said we have 3 days to change our minds for a full refund. That night we learned about the Better Business Bureau's rating of them and now 3 weeks later still can't get our money refunded. I've been sitting on hold for 30 minutes as I type this -- they won't even take my call now.

  72. Thank you so much for your input on this "agency" or whatever it is. My 16 year old daughter was approached at Six Flaggs and they have not stopped calling my house or my cell phone trying to schedule an "evaluation". We were skeptical, but after reading all of these experiences that people have had, this confirms my initial instincts about this agency. THANK YOU!!!!!!

  73. yes interface is a Big SCAM and crash my 12yo daughter dreams. I am taking my recipts and going to file charges against them. the lying hairdress said she work for toni braxton and janet and the lying slick guy who interview us was extremely to nice which made me a bit uncomfortable, all talk to get my money. im going after them to get my money.  please report to SEC

  74. SCAM!!! check out this press release.

  75. Interface Talent is such a SCAM!!!!

    Here's how it works:

Roman Vintfeld runs the place but is never there.

Some scumbag slick talking guito manager that snorts coke in the bathroom is contstantly roaming around inside and outside, smoking, yapping, etc.

A shitload of young classless ghetto folks sit in the call center and harass potential clients, begging them to come down.

Once a potential customer comes down, they look around the waiting room and realize everyone around them is busted.  LOL.

Then the managers look at you through hidden camera's, try to find the ones with expensive handbags, and you get called in first.

They make you bring your kid in too, so you can't say no in front of them.

They never disclose the full price upfront, and if you say you can't afford it, they try to drop the price, etc.

If you sign...you come back another day, and some amateur dbag cycles around the building outside taking embarrasing poses, while neighbors and passerby's look and gawk, like WTF????

You get your pictures, they look like s**t, and you're asked to now pay more money to send them out!

Roman sits back in Jersey and let's all this s**t go on.  He don't care - he's got his Range and his Maserati.  It's the good life for him.  It ain't the good life for all the suckas.

SPREAD THE WORD.  GET THEM OUT OF THE MALLS. SHUDDER THEIR DOORS.

Interface Talent Modeling Agency is a f*****g SCAM!!!!!

  76. This is a pure scam. Don't ever go there. The guys want to squeeze out thousands of dollars from you and they are very pushy. Just don't waste your time with them. They are the biggest cheaters

  77. This is a Total scam. That Torri girl lie to us. She kept changing her facts. I saw ugly kids going in for photo shoots. But all of this didn't bother me. I was having enough fun having my daughter interacting and being interview. But she told me and my husband that we were not serious about my daughter because we didn't have the money. I should have slapped her!

  78. Good afternoon!

We are very sorry to read that you were dissatisfied with your experience at InterFACE Talent.

At InterFACE, we strive to provide our customers with the best service and overall experience, and we would like to address your concerns.

Please contact us by e-mailing lwirstiuk@interfacetalent.com, and we will do our best to assist you in a timely manner.

    Thank you!

  79. A scam!  the total package will cost about $2000.  But they never tell you that upfront.  They break it up into 4 meetings so the price seems more reasonable.  Do not waste your money.  Protest to you local mall to stop renting space to this comapny.

  80. i just have one thing to say. this is for all the followers. meaning all those who dont know how hard it is to get into the industry. "CONSTANT CELEBRATION OF HIS OR HER OWN IGNORANCE," try getting into an agency on your own. and get back to me on these posts.

  81. Im so glad that people cant make decisions on their own anymore. Here I thought it was the media that lead us to the determinant.  But after reading this I have realized that you are all sheep. Not that I have a positive point to report but more that I am appauled at the ignorance of this site. People if you are concerned about a service or company then go with your gut, but dont let people sway you into a decision that isn't yours.  Have a backbone and make your own decisions in life don't reley on the internet to guide you.  Otherwise your are just as bad as the lemmings who fell of the cliff.  LIVE YOUR LIFE!!! NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S!!!

  82. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM
I almost left my kids braces' down-payment there!! Thank God my husband is not a fairy tail believer like me!!
The worst is that they talk in front (or direct ) to the kids and of course they buy it! (and so did I, btw...).
My husband looked at me and said NO so we walked out.

They're not professional quality photos either.

I thank everyone who took the time to write about this here, it helped to show our kids that we were not wrong!!

  83. Yes, they are a scam. My daughter has been with them for 6 months and they have done nothing for her. All they do is take pictures of your child and mail them to agencies. Basically you are paying thousands of dollars to do something that you can do yourself. Look up the names and addresses of legit agencies online and send professional photos of you or your child yourself. I used my daughters pictures to send out to agencies and managers in NY myself and have had her audition for commercials and modeling jobs. They did not get her one audition or do anything for that matter. My daughter worked on a childrens dvd and a commercial all from submitting her photos MYSELF! I spent 1600 dollars with them and if I had known I would not have spent a dime. I should have listened to the scam ads on the internet about them but instead I believed their lies! BEWARE..!

  84. We met one of their representatives at Six Flags who praised my 2 year old kid no end . After that we got endless calls from them
asking us to come for a visit . They lied to us saying it was only 1 to 1 hour 15 minutes from our place while it was really over 2 hours. They lied to us that we would have to come only for the first visit to Norwalk and the rest could be near our place while later they said all the visits had to be in Norwalk. After we went there , their director praised our kid no end for 45 minutes saying he would get print ads , commercial ads then asked us for $1,150 dollars which we had to pay then and there for composite photos . When I said I could not pay she said pay $550 , when I said I could not afford that , she said $150. Then she said $50. I still said i could not pay . I then set down $10 in front of her which she did not take . I then left with my money.

In retrospect, I should have given her a nickel for a down payment. I would have loved to see the look on her face.

  85. I know first hand that Interface Talent in South Norwalk is a SCAM.  I work there.  The managers, and the owner Roman, don't do ANYTHING with the pictures.  What a shame.  I'll be quitting soon.

  86. Totally a scam!!!!  We have been to their office in SONO, CT 3 times! once for the suckering and reeling in of us for our 2 year old daughter.  We didn't have the money at the time for the "professional photo shoot" (what a crock!) so the "Director" we met, Torrey Doyle said she would put out half because she felt our daughter was great model material.  We gave a deposit. (fyi: we have three girls', live in an apartment, and live basically pay check to pay check).  So we came back 2 weeks later for a 700$ photo shoot that the Picture People do better shots.  The supposed stylists and stuff were all of 2 seconds, and although the photographer was nice, .... I could have done what he did! Then we went back today. (10/25/09) and met with the "marketing directors" (different people each time mind you) and basically did the same thing again requesting money for composite cards and online availability.  wanting another 800$ to do so right then and there.  Saying they can work with us and cut it in half or post date a check, credit card, ect..  The woman couldn't even keep her information straight once my fiance and I started questioning her over and over, like she lost her "script" or something.
We feel stupid that we let these people sucker us out of our money and It's sad that these people are even still open for business!!!!

NOTE: STAY AWAY FROM INTERFACE!!! THE ONLY PEOPLE THEY WANT TO HELP ARE THEMSELVES!

  87. Interface is a scam. I contacted the BBB on them and they lied to the BBB. I've had enough of them I am contacting my attorney general. Abrahms, Elite etc dont ask for money like Interface does. They claim to have all these success stories they are bunch of liers. The people they have in these malls are fake. Please people don't give anymore money to these crooks. THEY ARE A SCAM, I CANT WAIT TIL THE ATTORNEY GENERAL CLOSE THEM DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  88. No Brainer!

    1) Approaching mothers on Malls and Movie Theaters.
    2) Their offices are right across the maritime aquarium.
    3) Even ugly kids get offered a photo-shoot package for ($550 - $5,000)
    4) Success Stories?  HAHAHAHA! JLo photoshoped.
    5) 3 Days to cancel for Photo Shoot Appointment and get your money back.

    Guys! Come on!

Why you think they ask your profession?
They want to make sure you don't have knowledge of the industry.

I work in this industry! (I told them)
I told them that their composite cards didn't look professional and that the quality of the pictures were poor for a $1,000 shoot.

They had no option to let me walk out without my credit card #.

  89. Yes, Interface Talent is a big fat scam!!

  90. Interface is not a scam..it is true if an agency asks you for money its a scam, however interface is NOT an agency, they are a marketing company. They work on getting you exposure to a lot of really good agencies ( ex. Abrahms Artists, Elite)..they work on getting you noticed by industry proffessionals.
