Everytime that I update internet explorer it becomes unresponsive. Once I do a system restore it works properly again. I had to turn off the automatic updates because every single time that it would update I would have to restore it to work again. This has happend to my desk top as well as my laptop. My desktop has been at the computer repair store for 3 weeks and they can't figure out what is wrong with it.

I'm running on version 6.0

  1. yes it could be the IE.

Try removing all the tool bares from your IE as that is a common problem.

Try putting in fire fox it is a better program then IE is anyway and not that different to IE but just none of the bugs that IE has

Also Big Pond is a nightmare anyway but maybe it is something that they have in your system too.

Have you had service pack 3 in yet? as that could also be a issue

    Good luck

  2. Uh, I know internet explorer has a higher risk for spyware/trojans/cookies/malware...blah, blah, blah.

have you tried to download "mozilla firefox?" much better for your computer! its safer & faster. It worked for me. Try it out!
