Is Inuyasha shojo or Shonen?

I watched it and can't figure it out, the main character is a girl, but there is also some blood and demons. This question has been bothering me for a while.

Its neither. Its marked as 'action', which I don't know why.

i think its more shonen (aimed for teenage boys) than shojo (which is for young girls with a cute art style).

It's more of a Shonen since there are a lot of fights
