  1. yes it is. Persians who predominate in Iran are descended from the ancient Aryan peoples. Who migrated into Iran and India. Even the word Iran is a loose translation of Aryan.  Sadly, most people believe Aryans live in northern Europe. This is simply not true. Persians speak an Indo-Aryan language and are a part of the Indo European language group ( French, German, English, Hindi, Bengali and Persian are among some of the many languages).

        Assyria however is not but the Kurds in northern Iraq are also from the same stock of the Persians.
