No, totally different, separated by the Gulf and by Iraq. Have a look on the map.

No.  Persians aren't even Arab.

They speak Farsi, not Arabic, and are distantly related, at best.  In fact, many European peoples are directly descended from the Persians, such as the Croatians who emmigrated from Hourvaiti province in Northeastern Persia around 800 AD.

It snows in Tehran, too.
