  1. It's getting back to normal-news agencies only show the bad side and not always the good or rebuilding which is going on-I wonder why!!!!

  2. its distraction by phenomenon, theyll be doing nastier stuff while the nations distracted by the elections

  3. they just stopped, there is definetly more killing going on on both sides

  4. good question

  5. The monthly causualties for UK and US soldiers has dropped substantially in Iraq, however, I heard that violence in Afghanistan is increasing. For specific numbers check here:

I don't know about civilian casualties. These do not seem to be reported by mainstream media although there have been well over 500,000 civilian casualties and millions of injuries.

At least 832,962 people have been killed, and

1,590,895 seriously injured in Afghanistan and Iraq

  6. I've noticed that the Mainstream Media has been downplaying the violence and chaos in the past year.

I think it is because it is we are leading up to the General Election and any negativity about Iraq would be very bad for the Republican Party.

In other words, you cannot trust the Mainstream Media.
