Is Ireland IN the agreement of Shengen or out of it???

ireland is my favourite place in the world and i really want to visit it... but theres a small problem... my dad...well hes afraid of planes and he wont sign my passport ! only if i ll use extreme ways to convince him...(i dont want to do that!!!)..But if ireland in In shengen greement i can go with my ID cause im from greece...

  1. No the Shengen states are the 24 countries below

    The 24 Schengen countries are:

    Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. A Schengen visa issued by an Embassy or Consulate of the above countries allows the holder to travel freely in all of the issuing countries. All these countries except Norway and Iceland are European Union members.

    Note; United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Switzerland are NOT participants in the Schengen Agreement.

    As a EU member you would need to carry formal ID such as a passport
