It is kinda like Scotland. Very peaceful and Scotland is where they shot the Harry Potter films. If you have seen those then you will like Ireland.

yes it is, you have the best of both worlds in ireland, if you like city life, live in dublin or cork, if you want a quiet and peaceful life, live in galway or any rural town in ireland

i love it... except for all the rain of course :) the cities arent great, pretty small i suppose by international standards (dublin about 1.5 million, cork about 250,000) but the countryside is really nice. you can tell why people come to visit ireland. i honestly wouldnt live anywhere else in the world
