  2. I completely agree. You have to be an athlete to be an Irish dancer so that makes it a sport. For those of you who disagree, try it first. If you can't do it, you aren't allowed to say it isn't a sport. It's like figure skating in a way. Yes, it's beautiful and artistic but it also requires dedication and physical strength and flexibility etc.


  3. Yes, Irish Dancing is a sport.
    And I'm not just saying that because I'm an Irish dancer.
    It is a sport because it requires skill, talent and dedication. Also because it's so quick and precise and it requires complete muscle control.
    these reasons as well as it being highly competitive makes it a sport as well as an artistic dance form.

  4. Irish dancing is SOO a sport. People always tell me it isn't, and to that I say "Come to one of my classes. Competer at a Feis. Then tell me it's not a sport" most people just say "um..ok" but some people actually change there minds(usually after quite a long argument. lol)
