Is Irish hurling identical to North American lacrosse?

The same as above, and also in hurling they use a lot less protection.

It is similar but not the same, hurling use a different stick that is made of ash and is flat.  Lacrosses has a net.  Hurling scoring system is way different,  you get 3 points for a goal that is a little smaller than a soccer goal. and one point if it goes between the two posts above the goal, like a field goal in american football.  also hurling is the fastest land sport in the world. There are many more differences between the two sports, these are just a few.
