  1. Not sure understand the Question, but think you were asking "is Islamabad an Islamic city?" the next bit didn't make sense.

Yes it is an Islamic city sort of.  It is the capital of Pakistan, which is an islamic nation, with the official title the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.  Islamabad was built in the 1960's as a new capital, and as such was fully planned out.  It has a large mosque complex that was paid for by one of the major Saudi princes.

Pakistan was formed out of the partition of India in 1946, where the borders were made so that India was made up of the areas of predominately Hindi population, and Pakistan the Muslim populations.  Millions of people found themselves basically overnight having to pack up and move all there life to a "new" country, as were of the "wrong" faith.  So this is why Pakistan is an Islamic nation, and why it named it's capital city as such.

Through in reality Pakistan really is not a true Islamic nation, as the law is not Sharia Law (as defined by the Koran & Mohammed).

As for why they think it is bad, don't know who they are so can't help, but from  my knowledge don't know of any groups that protest against Islamabad as a city.

  2. because it is right in the name...
