America is considered a very Individualistic society. Collectivism used to describe any moral, political, or social outlook, that stresses human interdependence and the importance of a collective, rather than the importance of separate individuals. Collectivists focus on community and society, and seek to give priority to group goals over individual goals. Is Israel considered to be a collective society or an individualistic society?

  1. It used to be a collective society, but since the 1980's it has become more individualistic. It is more collectivist than the United States but less than Scandinavian countries.

  2. Israel has become a me society. We'd all rather shop and club in Tel Aviv than go and shoot at Palestinian. Arguably we are more individualistic than Americans, although our government still thinks we are one giant 7 million strong Kibbutz.

  3. Israel is a colonial society at war with the native people of the land.

    colonial society is collective society.

The Israeli government owns the land and there is no written constitution and old colonial organizations run the country collectively.

  4. Well "we" should be collective society, as  religion dictates it is.  It's hardly a kibbutz,  I say, we need more help.

Yes, it's a collective society. Absolutely. Any religious Jew will tell you this.

  5. Israel is probably the only place in the world where you'll find BOTH; the Israeli currency is at present very stable despite the worldwide fluctuations. People can collaborate through the centralized government without actually being acquainted with one another.
