"Qantar had been in jail since 1979 for a deadly guerrilla raid in which he killed a four-year-old girl, her father and a policeman." He was one of the several prisoners released for the corpses of two Israeli soldiers.

  1. TERRORISTS ??    THEY ARE TE BIGGEST OF THEM ALL FOR THOUSAND OF YEARS

  2. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter

If Isarel abides by UN resoulutions and gets off the West Bank they won't have any more problems

  3. yes.

  4. Martin Mcguiness, Mandela, one of Israels Premiers were all 'terrorists' - so why not.

  5. they should just send zohan in to get him. Done.

You Dont mess with the ZOHAN!

  6. define terrorism

  7. yes there is no other way to save pepole life

  8. One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter

  9. Israel are  the terrorists

  10. Well they have to ever since Zohan became a hairdresser in the US. He was like their main line of defense against terrorism.

  11. While traditionally i would say no.  But this situation is a little different.  All other methods of resolving conflict had failed.  And the keeping of Prisions on both sides had become an insumaountable roadblock.

The only way to keep peace in that area of the world is to keep people talking.  So while i symithise with the familes of those who died, this is a bigger problem.  More lives are at stack if violence resumes.  Any dialogue no matter how bad a taste it may leave in your mouth is better than fighting.  I say use this as the catalyst for wider ranging peace talks.  And maybe someday real un-enforced peace will be achieved.

  12. Israel should have handed back the prisoners in the same condition they got their soldiers back in.  Dead.  They're just asking for trouble handing over live prisoners for dead soldiers.

  13. Every government that has ever been confronted by terrorists has some form of contact with them even if publicly they claim not to negotiate with terrorists.

For example, Whitelaw negotiating with the Provos while Thatcher talked about withholding the "oxygen of publicity."

The only exception I can think of is the German government and the Red Army Fraction.

As for Qantar - he is a nasty piece of work who I suspect hides psychopathic tendencies behind a facade of politico-religious "justification".

  14. Yes!Jaw Jaw!Is better than War War!!

  15. Yes, it is the only way if there is ever to be any peace in this world. Once some of Israelis past prominent leaders were called terrorists for example Menachim Begin (bombing of the King David Hotel where many people died), yet later he became a respected statesman. People talked to him and others.

  16. Listen the Israelis are the terrorists, The media doesn't report the mass murder of Arabic civilians.  In the 90's over 600 civilians were murdered by Israel, bet you never heard of that?  Because not a word of it was mentioned in the western media!

  17. What do you mean negotiate with terrorists?  Israel has been funded and armed to the teeth by terrorists for decades.

  18. Dunno, did the British negotiate with the American terrrrrrsss in the late 18th (and early 19th, which some conveniently forget)? Should they have? Probably.

  19. Only to a point. Once it stops being of any benefit it's time to stop.

  20. Seemed to work in Ireland when Tony Blair was in power.

    Peace at the moment.

Need to have dialogue, best way i think.

    Otherwise trouble will never end.

    Compromise is the word.

  21. Everyone else does, eventually. Some even become members of Parliament or international statesmen.Or at the very least given council houses and shedloads of benefits.

  22. Israel has to decide what's right for Israel.

They can't please anyone, no matter what they do.

I'm surprised you're not claiming they fabricated the charges against the prisoner.
