I just recently got a red tattoo on my left forearm. Each day I wake up it seems a little more faded. Its at the point where it looks pink now. I have NOT peeled it and I HAVE put ointment on it everyday like i was told.

  1. It will fade over time, depending on how many layers of skin the artists needle put the ink.  If yours is fading to the point that it is already looking pink then you got ripped off and chose a poor artist.  You could get it done over if needed.  I would wait for 3 or 4 weeks before you make a decision though, and get a few opinions before making a decision.

  2. The same thing happened with my boyfriend.  Your skin is not taking that type of ink, sometimes your body will react that way.  I would go get it redone, make the artist redo it, for free; you already spent the money on it, just have him use a different brand of ink.  Thats what my guy did, and this kind of red stayed a LOT better.

  3. It will fade a little. But I don't think it would drastically change that much.

If it does, I would go back to the original tattoo artist who did it for you, and he/she will have to fix it.

  4. over time you skin and age distorts the tatto image. so eventually it will be a blog of faded colors with saging skin on it. every old people with tattoos look like that.
